Picked up a cheap exercise bike from a mate. 40 mins on that followed by 40 mins of weights and then some stretching to cool down. Plan is to see if I can do that 3 times a week with a rest day in between where I omit the weights and just use the bike for an hour or so

Although I've not been losing weight I've been quite happy with my progress (bar the Christmas 'blip') where I had a month of drinking, poor diet and not much gym time.

Since Jan I've eaten better and not had a drink since NYE. I've also been at the gym more regularly (min 5 sessions p/week) and had a couple of PT sessions.

My aim is 3 more inches off my waist and similar off my hips. I've increased the weights (chest press has gone from 20kg to 35kg, leg press from 100kg to 150kg (with a final set of 200kg), weighted squats from 20kg to 30kg.

Generally i'll either do 2x 10reps and a set of 30reps or if i'm with a mate we'll aim for 4-5 sets of 10reps of each exercise

The other change is that since Christmas I've also been taking 20mg of Citalopram each day which seems to have got my head in a better place (coupled with the exercise) although i'm not keen on the side affects

0.4kg up for me this week which, being honest, I suspected might be the case (or at least a maintain or small loss). After the 2.7kg loss last week and having done no gym for the preceding week it wasn't surprising that getting back into the gym had an effect. There's also the small fact that I had to go down a waist size on my jeans on Saturday which tells me what I need to know... biggrin - I'm now down 8" on my waist since August which is nice.

Leg night tonight at the gym, hoping to push up a bit on everything!

Good work. I'm up too, but like you I can nearly do the button up on a pair of trousers I bought as opposed to having a 3" gap at the top biggrin

You mentioned the callipers you bought in an above post. If you don't mind me asking, how did they compare to the scales? Were they far out?

They're actually awkward to use as you have to read off the number with them in place - it would've been simple to give them a small plastic loop which slides and stays as the reading point but....they're a fiver so can't really complain. They do seem to correlate with the reading from the FitQuest machine, give or take. It's probably about as accurate as anything's going to be.

It's fantastic to see so many people doing so well!

I unfortunately never got on the wagon. I had a flare up of an illness about a week ago that hasn't shifted yet, and when I get ill I tend to eat loads, so I actually think I've put on so far. I'm going to try and start today with better eating, and if I feel better by the weekend I'll get back on the bike.
Somehow managed to not gain any weight, so I must say I'm happy. The colitis flare up is a big wake up call that I need to eat a little cleaner. I've dug out my cold weather cycling gear in anticipation of going out on the bike on Saturday morning.

Another three pound loss for me this week (1.5kg). Have to be pleased with that although it's a tiny bit frustrating that I'm now at 3 stone 13 lbs lost whereas another pound would have been a nice round number!! Hey ho, I'm pleased with that, especially as I haven't been 100% just lately. Ten days out of a fortnight, I've struggled past my 5k steps target, thankfully in the last few days, started to get my appetite for walking back.

Have also signed up to do a charity walk in August for CLICSargent. It's approx. 22 miles from the Grand Pier at Weston to Ashton Gate Stadium, home of Bristol City. Last year, around 150 people did the walk so hopefully be a similar amount this August too. It will certainly give me a focus for the next few months, for sure.

Please can some one update my weight at 144.3 on the tracker.
Pleased enough with that.
I’m now training regularly, eating 2300 calories a day. Never hungry.
No alcohol and not planning to be drinking for a while.

I think I'm lucky, the ones I got from myprotein have that collar that stays in place at the reading when you remove them.

That said, I'm fairly sure I'm not using them correctly! I've dropped from 99.5 to 96.5 now up to 97.5kg, but my body fat according to the callipers (or rather my reading of the callipers!) shows my body fat down from 22% to 15% laugh

I'd stop over analysing, but to be fair, the obsessing over it distracts me from the hunger motivates me to keep going. I'll just choose to ignore all the results and go by the way my clothes fit. smile

Also amazed at how I'm still off the booze. Been to the pub a few times but now when I see beer/wine I just think about the indigestion it will give me rather than how drunk it will get me. I hope that continues!

Good to see that people are sticking with it and getting results.

Weekly weigh in. Only 0.7kg dropped this week but I guess it falls into the 'healthy' weight loss of 0.5-1kg a week. Total down now is 4.1kg which I guess is not a small amount. Its just been very steady after a large initial drop. Only another 13kg to go!

I popped in here a while ago. My weight loss journey flopped.
My work pants are no longer usable as the clasp fella off and now today my button fell off.

So my weight loss journey has to start again. Wife is back at work so when I’m not in work I’m minding the baby and when I’m in work I’m eating rubbish food and sitting on my ass.

Weigh in will be tomorrow.
Can anyone suggest any easy meals to prep that are low in calorie/ tasteful that they use please?

I feel for you but it's not an impossible situation. If feasible, whey not take the baby out for long walks, obviously if in a pram. It may help as I know that walking helped me an awful amount. smile

Chicken breasts. Lightly seasoned, sliced in half and grilled, along with a boiled potato and veg of your choice. An alternative is pork medallions, just to vary things really.

Not been great my end, weighed myself this morning and am on 100.9, last week was on 100.5 so in nearly a month I've only lost 1.1kg!

I haven't been particularly good with my food; slipping a bit in the last week or 2, tonight we are out for dinner so that won't help, I think Monday I'll hit the reset button and start again; 2 stone loss by April isn't looking possible now.
