Car things you've never done despite being a petrolhead...
Discussion
Never owned any petrol engine with more than 4 cylinders, or any diesel with more than 6, nor any bike with more than 2.
Never owned an Alfa, nor a remapped 335d.
Never raced, not even a sprint or Time Attack or hill climb.
Never had any points on my license. (I can only assume I'll have 40,000,000 points waiting for me in The Bad Place.)
I have done:
The 'ring.
Trackdays, UK and abroad.
Road trips.
NC500s.
Touring holidays.
Broken down a lot.
Crashed a lot.
Dabbled in 2-wheeled motoring.
Forged and tuned a Jap car.
Prioritised car costs over household bills on more than one occasion.
Had more equity parked in the garage than in the house itself.
And most importantly, to me, made dozens of petrolhead friends for life.

Did my first trackday this year and came away thinking "what's the point?"
To be honest I'm in much the same place, I find touring (usually on motorbikes) to be far more interesting than going round in circles quickly!Never polished a car.
Never bought a new car.
Never paid for a service.
Never fancied a supercar.
Never really looked after my cars.
When I think about it, I really love driving, but don't really love cars the way some people do. I'm as happy to chug about in mud in an old diesel as pose in a shiney sports car. Am I still allowed to call myself a petrolhead?

I've never:
Bought a new car
Owned or driven a: V12, Ferrari, McLaren or Aston
I guess by the age of 42 this show my priorities more than anything else Namely track driving and racing in small, lightweight cars and an interest in how cars drive, rather than how new they are or how flashy they look.
