Is anyone else with Covid or just after Covid having days where they feel pretty good and on the mend, but then the next day inexplicably they feel rough, achey and headachey again?

Yesterday I was feeling pretty good, less achey, not much of a headache but this morning it feels like I've got a massive hangover and had a terrible sleep, headaches, muscle aches and lethargic again. But I slept a good 8 hours solid, been eating and drinking healthily. What is going on?!
Very much so, had it well over a month ago now, some days when I feel absolutely fine and others where I'm completely drained from the moment I wake up. No pattern to it, amount of sleep seems to make little difference.

I was fairly fit before but I'm really struggling to do enough to actually build it back up. I could walk 20+ miles a few weeks before COVID, now just walking around the supermarket is pretty draining!
I had Covid about 4 weeks ago now and haven't had any lingering symptoms. I'd say I was just under 2 weeks to get back to normal. 24 hrs it knocked me on my arse felt on the mend then 4 days after feeling crock got totally different symptoms, really snotty etc. I just did some walking then got back to the gym and normal exercise routine the following week.

Late 30s male, don't class myself as particularly fit. Gym 4-5 times a week cardio and mostly resistance stuff. I find after being ill I'm far more up for returning to doing weights than I would be when I was running a lot.

I just meant I found it odd that 9 people that have not had a sniff of covid in the last 2 1/2 years have all caught in in the last 2 weeks. But hey, hopefully will pass soon.
The common denominators are them all being fully vaxxed (triple jabbed I assume) and their location. It’s going to be one or both of those factors.

Got it for the fist time and I feel like crap. I've done nothing but sleep for the last two days. First night I had really strong shivers. Got sinus pain and a bad throat now. Weirdly I chucked up my breakfast this morning and the final heave brought up a load of bloodeek
You should probably speak to 111 or whatever that non-urgent NHS number is about that sort of thing...

I don't think I've ever brought up blood, not even after suspected food poisoning and those episodes where you're sitting (with a silent 'h') on the toilet at the same time as aiming for the sink and praying silently in your head for a god you're not sure you believe in to take you now.

IIRC 'marathon runners no longer being able to walk up stairs' was a thing for a while.

It might be that people aren't giving their body a chance to rest and recover fully, so personally speaking, I'd just have a few weeks off. If you're tracking your heart rate, could be worth checking it at rest and seeing if/when it gets back to pre-covid rates (if you have 'before' data to use and/or if it hasn't already done so).
Our daughter, who works in the NHS and got Covid very early on, is one of those stereo-typical mid-30's runners who has struggled with 'long-covid'. While ill, she tried to carry on as much as possible - she can do some of her job from home, and she's a busy mum with two young kids and a not very helpful husband.

I don't know if there's evidence as such, but there's certainly a school of thought that not resting properly drags it out - it's not like a cold where you can sort of blast through it.

You're probably right, but it's not happened again. Not that I've eaten anything but a little ice-cream since! Had one bout of diarrhoea today, so I think I've had the full range of covid symptoms in three days apart from the dreaded shortness of breath!

I can see how some poor souls have ended up drowning in their own mucus. I'm coughing up loads.

I'm feeling a bit better today as the sinus pain has mostly gone.

After more than two years of being hyper careful, my wife and I have both caught COVID this week. Just returned from our first cruise for three years, took all the precautions imaginable but it got us. My wife had a runny nose but feels fairly OK. I tested negative this morning but felt hot tonight and was sneezing. …was hoping it was hayfever but no such luck. Here hoping it’s a mild one!

Last cruise my parents were on everyone was fully jabbed. Everyone had a negative test before boarding and everyone wore a mask.
They had 200 cases on board.

Can’t say for certain but everyone had to have a ‘fit to fly antigen test’ to board the ship. We had hidden away for a couple of weeks to make sure we could board it.

No…because a close friend died of the virus at the start of the pandemic.

I'm 54, jabbed, and it's got me!

Went out last tuesday night for dinner and to see Top Gun with my girlfriend.
Went to bed tues night feeling fine, woke up weds 5am freezing cold and shaking after having the most awful nightmare.
Spent most of weds in bed, went to work thurs/fri, but a real struggle.
Constant sweats and pounding headache.
Felt a bit better over the weekend and by monday the sweats had gone.
Now I have a large lump/ulcer type thing on the roof of my mouth, and my neck is killing me. Also feel very tired.
I'm glad I was jabbed!

Anyone else had the neck pain and or lump/ulcer in the upper mouth?
It’s funny though, you might have been better off if you hadn’t been jabbed. Or possibly exactly the same as what you had. Or worse. You basically have no idea. But even after feeling crap you’ve said you’re glad you had the jab. It’s a funny one really.

Well I’ve finally caught it for the first time after testing positive at the weekend. I’d been joking for about a year that I must be immune from catching it since I’ve been around plenty of people that have had it including my partner who had it at Xmas so was suprised I didn’t get it then bearing in mind the close contact and living together.

Started feeling ‘off’ on Thursday with a really stiff neck and lack of energy and by the weekend I was knocked sideways with all the usual symptoms. It’s also made my wisdom tooth pain flare up for the first time in about 2 years so that’s a nice little bonus. My hayfever has also been really bad the last month so when I’m having a brief spell when I’m not coughing, the constant sneezing wears me down.

If you have tested negative how do you have Covid? When I suspected I had it two weeks ago and did a test I got the 2 red lines pretty instantly. A week later I did another test and the same thing, two lines within 15 seconds.

I did another test yesterday which is 2 weeks after my original test and I am finally testing negative.

Still don't feel 100% right though, I constantly feel exhausted, can't really concentrate and I still have little appetite for food and everything just doesn't taste quite right.

Tested negative in the morning and then very strong positive in the evening after I felt very hot. Mainly a drippy nose so far today.

I had a hunger pang last night 6/7 days after I was first tested as positive

My taste Isnt back but I've lost it a few times due to a medication I was given twice by mistake and I'm convinced it not been right since anyway so I'm never confident if I'm tasting correctly or not

My mum went on a cruise and had the same outcome, despite all the testing rigmarole, and usual covid rules, although she was ok.
It’s a pity as the cruise industry standards appear to of dropped due to covid, shame really as I fancy another one myself but not with all the mask theatre.

Doesn’t this tell you that no matter how hard you try Covid will catch you at some point so stop hiding away and go live your life.

I tested positive on Monday. I suspected I had it in March 2020 and its almost exactly the same (though there were no tests around then).

Spent 3 days in bed , just couldn't stay awake.. Body achey and first day had a bad headache. Slight cough, dizzy spells and light headedness throughout. It's only starting to wear off today (being the 4th day).

I'm double jabbed, but the second jab was over 10 months ago.

Horrible lurgy.

I can't blame people for wanting to avoid it. It's an absolute waste of a week imo. Puts pressure on the partner having to run the household single handedly. With a cold I can take a lemsip and carry on.. Not the case (for me) with covid.

Sure you will catch it, but if you can make small changes to lengthen the times in between, I dont see why that's so bizarre.
