This seems like a very low calorie intake? My target is 1,680 (set by MyFitnessPal) and I'm a fair bit lighter than you. Are you adding exercise calories on top?
Yea it is low for an active 35 year old; but I'm neither active (100 strokes on the rowing machine in 3 minutes for 400 metres using 24 kcal is my daily regime) nor am I anywhere near 35. laugh

I exercise purely for the maintenance of mobility. I also include drinks calories in my calculations but I'm alcohol free atm anyway.

Ah, fair enough then! Hope it all works out for you and is maintainable!

I'm not really sure what I'm aiming for just now and my wife is pregnant which means any mention of calorie counting or weigh-ins is a bit frowned upon but getting there slowly and I'm drinking a lot less too which definitely helps the cause!

I'm back in 120.2kg and 5ft 8 is not good. Started Keto this Monday & despite a ton of chocs & biccies left over from Xmas have resisted.
Aldi Meatster & a Babybel for lunch & my Keto 3 egg mix for dinner. (3 boiled eggs, 2 Tbsp. Mayo, little sweet pepper, chopped cooked meats or flaked fish & a couple of frankfurters, few spring onions, lots of pepper & some other spices in the cupboard) according to MYF about 1200Cal a day.
Once the weather improves I'll be back out on the bike, but I'm a fair weather cyclist & too damn cold at present.

Hopefully I'll be below 105kG come Class 2 medical which will be when Covid lock down lifts. That means I don't get a naughty letter from the Doctor about the CAA view of BMI over 35.

What the hell, I'll join in for the extra motivation.

Bit of background. Have been in really good shape before. Best was when I got down to 14 and a half stone with abs etc. Anyway, always been up and down with my weight etc. Seemed to have managed to get a hold on the situation, maintenance calories were around the 4k mark.

Got diagnosed with a heart condition, started on a few different medication and since then it's been more of a struggle. Seems to be a case of maintenance being around the 2.5k mark these days.

I've had success with keto previously so I've jumped back into it, started on Monday.

Stats are as follows: height 6ft 1. Starting weight 19st 1 1/4lb. Goal weight is 15st.

Edited to add. Alongside the keto diet I will be going out on the mountain bike I bought back end of last year and lifting weights still. Back to the gym once they open back up.

Good luck, as another with a heart condition...

My first week back to the grindstone has been punctuated with a thrown out back. Hmmm.... Back pain, hard week at work, blood thinners and cold outside. Hurrah!

I was in the previous one but am such a loser that I didn't even complete the year!! hehe

I lost 5 stone in total between July 2019 and July 2020 by walking a lot (Yes, you did read that correctly!). I hate swimming, don't have a bike and was too fat to run although I did manage to complete Couch25k in the summer. That weight loss got me down from 22 stone 8 lbs to 17 stone 8 lbs but since July, I have struggled a lot with lockdown, willpower, not walking due to two slightly dodgy knees and lack of time.

I now stand, and sit, at 22 stone 4 pounds having put more than four and a half stone on in just six short months. It's that pathetic that I'm almost proud of it.

Please count me in as the motivation might help me out a little.

Good luck everybody!

Oh go on then smile

I used to be quite fit and lean (cycled 100 miles mostly off road in 1 day) but in recent years have not been as active as I should be. Hopefully putting my name down here will help motivate me to lose a bit of weight and get back some of the fitness I used to have.

Please can I jump aboard? Grateful if somebody could add me to the wiki.

I’m 99kg, 5’11” and looking to get down to 85kg. Although I’m reasonably fit, I have a fairly sedentary job and the pounds have crept in over the last decade.

Will be lifting weights and doing body weight exercise such as burpees, press ups, dips, etc., as well as going for the occasional run. I’m also aiming to get a road bike later in the year as I used to cycle a lot and was fairly slim.

Diet-wise, I’m using MFP to track absolutely everything, with a daily calorie target of 1600.

I'm amazed I've been able to stick to my 911 diet over Christmas. I suppose I've got to thank lockdown in a way since there's nowhere to go and consume calories anymore.

P.S. Anyone want to buy a litre of Baileys ? wink

Great first week for me with 8lb (3.6kg) lost. Had a couple of wobbles last week so it could have been more. Will update the table later.

Down 4kg as of this morning (started on 03/01). With the exception of 2 days I have seen a loss in weight, generally I'm eating between 1500-1800 calories per day and then exercising on top that. I have a goal this year of hitting 1600km (1000 miles), so far I'm ahead of schedule at 55km for the month (I started from a baseline of zero, I've always dabbled in running but never consistently).

Already noticed I look and feel less bloated and my clothes fit better, the biggest problem I'm finding right now is not over training. Looking forward to the next milestone of sub 100kg.
