So, who's making plans for summer holidays at the moment?

Do we think they'll be able to happen?

I'm tentatively hoping that an Easter driving trip will be possible! What are the chances do we think?

Easter? Slim to none at the moment I’d suggest.

I'm hoping possible (although assuming there will be testing required to arrive there and get back, and likely still quarantine on return).

Been looking at accommodation for the last few weeks, and am considering booking the Eurotunnel for our annual Aug/Sep trip to France, but booking the standard refundable ticket for flexibility.

I’ve booked Antigua for the end of November...any summer holiday we are going to book last minute based on the prevailing circumstances.

Looking at the Dominican Republic for end of October, but unsure if I'll book it yet, we surely should be back to normal by then?

Booked 5 separate weeks away in 2020 for wife and I, ended up cancelling all of them. Got full refunds of all advance payments eg flights and accommodations.

Not expecting to be able to go anywhere during 2021.

We have decided to plan a two week tour of Northern Britain, route, places to visit, and all accommodation etc so that we can jump in the car and take the trip at short notice once we feel we can. Just feel we have to have some form of break to look forward to, whenever it may be!

After one night in Paris and one in Hove in 2020, really hoping to get away to the regular Corfu retreat and exploring the area round Malaga this year. Fingers crossed.

Booked flights to Pisa before the Covid came along for middle of July.

It's our 25th anniversary and my eldests 21st so thought we would have 2 weeks in Italy as a family to celebrate.

No accommodation booked as yet and looking today lots of places already booked or prices have increased a lot.
I think a lot of holidays postponed from last year have been rebooked.
We also can't agree on where/what type of accommodation or location we want.
Do we want to stay in one spot for 2 weeks or do a few days in Pisa/Lucca then the remaining 10 days ish on the beach.

Not sure if we'll be able to go and with the flights being with Ryannair I've not holding out much hope for a refund.

Looks like it'll have to be 2 weeks in our flat in Cromer smile Kids are going to love that!

Driving holiday in Scotland for beginning April, all B&B's are booked but not paid for, they are pay when you arrive, a month or so ago we were ready to book flights and car hire but I decided not to, to see what Covid was up to, glad I didn't as I can't see Scotland happening now.

Last year the wife booked and paid for a week in Santorini for this coming July, fingers crossed!

Put a deposit down on a family holiday abroad in August. Will be gutted if it doesn't go ahead. You would like to think most wealthy countries will have a complete vaccination plan done by then, that's 7 months from now. The UK reckon all over 60s is it by Easter?

......but the UK is currently far ahead of most other countries.

Just booked for August for a place we got cancelled last year.

Wanted to get something in the diary as I suspect there will be a rush for holiday places the likes of which have never been seen before once the vaccines get rolled out. Ours was already 25% more expensive than when we booked it last year but I can see holidays been many multiples more expensive than they have been at least for 2021. Lack of capacity in the system an very high demand will only end up with much higher prices.

Booked Dominican Republic for last day in March when my Malaysia trip was cancelled back in early December. Seems BA have cancelled flight there up till 20 March - so I don't hold out much hope!

Looking at St Lucia or Barbados for September - more in hope than expectation, so studying cancellation policies closely. We are sufficiently elderly that we will have been vaccinated by then, but of course that does not mean we are immune from carrying or spreading, so many counties may still have significant measures in place.

Postponed our 2020 trip to a Vila in France, so hoping we can go this year. Flight prices this time last year were crazy so the plan was to drive. Flights now are very cheap, so I’m contemplating booking them as deciding closer to the time.

Booking anything right now is a triumph of optimism over reality.

I was looking at booking flights to Portugal for august but now with this travel lockdown I’ll wait just in case any of the airlines go bump.

I’ve got a cottage in Wales booked for the end of April, I still think that’s doubtful.

I was literally a nanosecond from pushing ‘pay’ on a family summer holiday to Ibiza last night, despite there being covid cover with the operator something inside of me said hold off frown

Not sure I could deal with disappointment of a cancelled holiday
