I am 69 and had my second jab of AZ a while ago. I was fine for 2 days but on the 3rd day couldn't get out of bed (literally) ached all over and felt bad. Had the real thing in January and after 4 days took antibiotics and was fine after a week. Strange really as I am "extremely vulnerable" having had an organ transplant. Fully expected to die if I caught it.

Had the Janssen / J&J "one shot" vaccine yesterday evening.
Sore arm last night. Lots of muscle ache & generally tired today - feels like a heavy flu without the cold. Oddly really thirsty too.
What's your age btw....? Am a little surprised given current age group rollout JnJ is being used as first doses rather than Pfizer/Moderna.
My daughter's 20 and will get the J&J single jab next week. Luxembourg residents.

I had my second OAZ injection a week last sunday (2 weeks early). Residual aching for 3 days and then totally forgot about it, hence me forgetting to post!

I had my second OAZ on Sunday. Achy arm and slight sweating in the night, but no big dramas so far.

Strange. Night sweats is usually a sign that your body is fighting an infection of some description.

Why did you HAVE to have it?
Because I had the AZ one first and didn't think you can mix and match. I didn't have any issue with the first one except for some cold symptoms so wanted the 2nd jab.

It could just be that it's quite warm at the moment of course.

Had my first Pfizer yesterday, felt fine until early evening when I started to feel exhausted, brain fog and generally feeling rough. Feel a bit better this morning but still not great, generally feeling tired and run down. Hopefully improves over the next day or two.

1st dose of Pfizer last Friday.

Felt slightly rough later that day and kept taking paracetamol as suggested. Difficult to describe, but it felt like I was suffering a hangover. Worse was my arm, which was really sore for 2 days.

Once two days had passed everything seems back to normal. Overall, it was fine.

I’m going to try to rebook my 2nd dose for sooner than 12 weeks that I was offered.

It’s part of the immune response, which is what the vaccine is designed to trigger.

Interesting update from me…. Arrived home from work about 15:30 and sat in garden with a coffee for 30 mins. Started to feel a bit achy …

Aching all over is now worse not debilitating but unpleasant. I be just had a soak in the bath but feel like I have very little energy. Everything I do is slow ….

Just going to take a couple of Paracetamol …

1st AZ 12 weeks ago, had it at 9;30am and by 3;30pm it felt like the flu coming on. I felt cold and shivery, SWMBO said I looked bad and took till mid afternoon to feel OK again. Had 2nd AZ last week and within two hours I felt shattered and went to sleep for four hours, The shivers came back but were gone by the end of the day.

I’m feeling 50% better now probably the paracetamol. I’m sure I’ll be right as rein in the morning.

2nd Pfizer Wednesday with an immediate dead arm in the area of the jab and then yesterday/today my right arm/shoulder overnight has been achey.

Feels a bit better now.

Didn't help I had a cold last week either I expect, my chest seems to had got a bit more of that chest infection taste/feel.

Note to say I just felt normal this morning so just a few hours feeling crap. Strange how it effects everyone differently.

2nd Moderna on Weds and certainly a less pleasant ride than No1

Thurs I felt ok ISH and was in the office working and a long meeting. Got home and just crashed out, spent the night shivering and sweating, mild headache and nausea

Sofa today and constant hydration and paracetamol and I'm feeling a lot more with it now and less very so hopefully done
