Fellow twins survivor here! It gets easier!! biggrin

Slightly up this week, although back on the exercise properly. Quite happy all in all, and have had to buy some small MTB shorts. Size medium which is not something I expected.

Good week this week. Smaller portions, more exercise and managed to drop 2lbs to 11st 10lbs. Now need to keep it off...!

And......... I'm back in.

Original starting weight on 03/01/22 81.65Kg, Target set for 76Kg, on 20/02/22 I was 75.75Kg so hit that and left....

We had twins on 10/02/22 and whilst they don't force you to eat then don't make it easy to train and it was kind of inevitable, but this is life right? and its more important to focus on the recovery safe in the knowledge that I have done it before.

The issue for me has always been portion/food control - I have no trouble in eating healthy but I don't feel full straight away which just leads to over-eating and excessive snacking inbetween meals, and then once it starts, a bad day turns into a week, a month and so on.... I'm now only getting to train 3-4 times a week vs the 6 so the food is more important this time around.

So the sequel. Sat 21/05/22 I was 80.5Kg and now already down to 78.7Kg and feeling better already.

Can I be added back to the Wiki, and removed from the wall of shame? Which tbh is where I belong smile
Welcome back, get yourself added in and good news on the twins and the weight!

Too much non-keto snacking for me this week. Back up to 100.5 kg from last week's 98.6 frown . Must.. try.. harder.

I’m lower than my target weight at the minute so really just trying to maintain or take a little extra off ahead of my holiday in a weeks time. Any extra loss will help mitigate the gains smile

Loss this week - 0.5kg
Total loss 14kg (89.1 to 75.1kg)

I’d aimed for a 2 stone loss Jan-May so I’m c. 2lbs/1kg better

Not the best week though really - weather was grim most days so not great for walking the dog. I’ve also had covid so reduced the gym effort.

Hopefully a better week ahead as I’ve shifted the covid & the weather is on the up

Up 1 kg. Just shows you what a week without exercise does for you.

I'm holding station at the moment. Not really fussed about that. As long as I'm not piling it back on, I'm happy where I am for now.

Will start to drop it off again in the summer months.

[postofshame]5 months in and my focus has been shameful. I’ve held off from any gains but made little by the way of progress or significant dietary alterations.
Next weeks update will be positive![/postofshame]

Dropping exercise won't result in weight gain...unless of course you forget to lower you calorific intake to account for lower energy requirement.

Big family meal out tonight so will put some back on, but very active and healthy week so should be a loss overall. Need to buy a new suit next weekend for a funeral on the 7th, then another month or so of being sensible.

After that, 5 weeks holiday including a 2 week cruise (been a "life's too short" year), so I'll be a fat fk at the end of the summer - just trying to be less of one before!

Haven’t reported I’m for a while, but I’m about where I started. Food poisoning and Covid sort of stopped me in my tracks last month and I can’t seem to get going exercise wise atm.

Not sure what it is atm but I’m constantly tired. I’ve never been one to want to go back to bed in the day but I’ve needed/wanted too a lot lately. Hoping forcing some early gym sessions will snap me out of it and set me up for the day.

I generally need a motivator, last year it was yo get abs back for the gfs bday so it may be the same again this year paticularly as we’re looking at a holiday at the same time (October)

As others have said, the 'I cannot do exercise for XYZ reason' is purely a poor excuse or reason. It's not exercise that's the problem, its the food you put in your mouth. Until you find a way to reduce the food intake the weight is not going anywhere.

Absolutely. Here’s an interesting take on the habit formation issue - how to get, and keep, good habits, and cut out the bad ones:

I'm down 5lbs at the moment, pleased with that.
I was 8lbs down but we had our wedding party/6month celebrations where many beers were had and lunch out with my friends the day after.
Back on it now!
