The 2023 weight loss thread - all welcome
Discussion
Righty - it's been bothering me too, so I've gone through the table and rearranged it into alphabetical, it took a while
I'm 88.4kg this week, so another week of no movement, which is ok at the moment. I'm doing sweet FA excersise and my treat and food intake has increased a bit too so it's good to know what I need to maintain (in current circumstances).
Good news is I'm not piling it all back on, which was a worry I had.

Table also back to 18th Feb for me. Have diligently updated nonetheless (though feeling a little like Sisyphus now!).
Weighed in today. Up 1.3kg. Disappointing but hardly a surprise. I’ve been working 18+ hours a day for the last week (closing a deal at work) and for the last few days of the week my healthy eating habits collapsed into eating junk whenever I could. And then not helped by going out for dinner last night to celebrate my MIL’s birthday (followed by cake).
I’m ok with the weight gain as overall I’m still down. I just have to get back on my eating plan again to prevent this slippage going the way of all previous weight loss attempts.
Today will be good and tomorrow will be good. The rest of the days can then look after themselves.

Looks like I'll be joining this thread more often in the future. I'm taking the first steps of my weight loss journey for 2023 by emailing a local PTI at the gym who is ex 5 Rifles. I've tried doing the gym on my own but I always end up feeling like I'm getting nothing done in the hour or so I'm there, losing motivation and giving up after a few week so by having someone beast me and give me exercises to do, I'll feel like I have a reason to go to the gym rather than procrastinating and putting it off. Want to get down to my pre-crohns weight of 75kg. Current probably sitting around 90 or above.

I hit my target weight on Friday, then went completely mental and eaten 4 crunchies, a bag of chocolate crunchy bits, 3 chocolate bars, 2 bagels with jam, and I think 3 bowls of porridge
Did you gain weight? :-)I hit my goal when I got back from London. Now I have a new goal to hit 200lbs. 34" jeans are now loose so I'm shooting for 32" and yes that was what I was wearing when I was in my 20's

Good work, seeing the waist line go down is fab. I'm now at 32", have never been at 32" ever in adult life. Maintaining the waistline ongoing is now the focus.I hit my goal when I got back from London. expecting a gain this week.
This weekend was not conducive to weight management
Friday - Mcdonalds on way to campsite and then a couple of beers
Saturday - picnic on a boat, pub pie and mash with a couple of beers
Sunday - cheese and ham panini, urban burger, cheese burger with fries, onion rings and halloumi oh and a couple of beers
could have done it without the alcohol but i was with my family which means they leave and i need a drink

121.8kg this morning, another solid kg since last week. Decided to reward myself with a doner kebab and a couple of beers on Sunday night - kebab came with a small handful of chips & pitta, so thought "what the heck, I've been a good boy". Woke up this morning with a mouth like a camel's jockstrap, allergic rhinitis and a chesty cough. Ketosis pen still shows that I'm in high ketosis, so hopefully it won't have too much of a longer effect.

Sounds familiar. This is exactly what I end up doing after a long fast, then instantly regret it.

I was doing so well too!
"I hit my target weight on Friday, then went completely mental and eaten Weigh-in this morning reports 109.7kg so 12.6kg off since the start of January.
I'm delighted with that.
My reward so getting under 110kg will be a gym membership, but also the time to use it guilt-free.
Inspired by another poster on this thread, I’m not eating anything (so just espresso or water) until midday, then stopping by 8pm.
I was finding the meal tracking, weighing food and calorie counting a burden, so was concerned about how sustainable that would be.
This eating pattern is quite easy now and I’m feel like I have more energy and focus which is a bonus.
Keep going, all!

Not weighed myself but know put on a few pounds, as having fallen don't the stairs i comfort ate.
Went to the gym yesterday though first time for two weeks, and hit a target 850ish calories in a hour which is near my target of 1000 hopefully in a few months.
My tactic is just keep exercise as much as i can, as really can't starve myself and enjoy eating too much.

Weighed 138kg on Monday, not exactly a shock but seeing the numbers on the scale has really inspired me to buckle down. Back to calorie counting. I got down to 108kg previously so that's a lot of timber back on. Wish me luck
That was my starting point almost exactly back in October gbn, down now to a slightly less scary 121.5kg as of this morning and feeling much better for it. My previously tight shirts are now cavernous, and I'm able to wrap them halfway round my side. Looking forward to getting down into the 110s.I'm up in Dundee regularly if you ever care for a stride about the place for a spot of exercise.

If you want to actually loose weight you have to reduce/modify your food intake. You don't have to starve your self but you do have to eat less, and build it into your dialy routine.
