I'm about to pull the trigger at Med express but I'm getting cold feet. Costs and side effects and the fact I've never injected myself!

I can probably lost a stone and a half on my own but it just comes back on again plus more. I was 14 stone after uni and I want to get back to that, I'm over 20 stone now 10 years later and it's unacceptable.
I was a nervous wreck at first and ended up getting my wife to do the first one. Managed to do all the subsequent ones in the end and honestly it’s hardly noticeable now

As I said you'd start to see abs. At 10% you'd have very visible abs and obliques
I can't see abs on the 20% picture?

I started on the Zoe diet on 2nd January. Previously I have tried counting calories. I only need to shift 20lbs to get to a normal weight. BMI is currently 27.

I chose Zoe as I have suffered with IBS for decades and they include gut analysis and two weeks of blood sugar testing as part of the package.

Oddly enough, I have been filling my face with vegetables that were a no under the Fodmap diet with no ill effects. Cutting back on carbs and bread. It was quite scary how supermarket white bread caused massive peaks and then crashed my blood sugar. Noticeable that I am feeling less hungry too.

I have lost three pounds so far. I get to snack on plain cashew nuts and dark chocolate too.

I'm 6 weeks off MJ now after 4 months on, was fine for first 5 weeks off but now week 6 hunger and appetite back big time, seems worse than before I started MJ, maybe body craving some fat as did lose a bit more than target. I'm not doing a low maintenance dose, one side effect I found of MJ not really mentioned is the lack of interest in food extended to other areas of my life like work and other interests, thats gone now. I've gained 5lb since coming off MJ but have been calorie counting max 1800cals - 2000 a day. I'm 5ft 11 went from 15stone 7lb to 12stone now 12stone 5lb.

The injection is tiny. Barely an injection really.

If someone put it in my leg when I wasn’t looking I’m not sure I’d know! Nothing to be worried about.

Finally approved by Medexpress! Will log my journey from next week.

I’m 6ft and 99kg, looking to get down to 75 - 80kg.

I will fast 18/6 each day and exercise about 3 times a week.

Even though I haven’t started, I can already feel a mentality change, maybe it’s because it’s going to cost a few quid a month!

Can also confirm you don’t even feel it. I have to check it’s in!!

I get more sensation from running my finger over a grain of sand.

Confirmed. You’ll do the first one, check if it even went in, then wonder why you were worrying.

Nothing like the vein ones you get at the doc.

Mine has arrived today, and to confirm from what others have already said, you don’t feel anything.

I also hate needles and this was no issue at all, I think it helps that you are in control of the injection, if that makes sense

Just found out someone else I know was on this until recently, is this the new middle class must have thing?

They came off it at Christmas after 3 months and said they have already put 2.5KG back on and want to get back on it.

The people I know all have zero willpower so either they need to be on this for life of they will put it all back on in a month or two.

Did you gain the 5lb before starting to calorie count? Surely for your size and height 2000 cals a day is still under your Basal Metabolic Rate needs?

Interesting reading this thread, I started on monjaro last Sunday, a decision I took as I tried hard/ impossible to loose weight after spending 9 months on steroids after a big colitis flare 2.5 years ago. I didn't seem to loose the steroid weight, hit 15 stone and stayed there, prior to that I was cycling running nearly everyday at a constant 12 stone.
So lest week I weighed in at 14 stone 12lb weighed in yesterday at 14 stone 1lb !! Amazing result most likely water retention/bloating and not constantly snacking! The constant hunger has gone, the love for crisps beer takeaways and over eating has completely disappeared.
I did a short run midweek another yesterday, placebo effect? I'm not sure, I have energy all the time ( i understand it balances your insuline) no longer tired at by 3pm, it's actually switched a light
on for me.

I see it like a binge diet tbh. Without lifestyle change the effects will reverse after initial success.

That said, this thread is making me think I should be buying shares in the companies developing these drugs as £100-150 a month for the rest of a users life is a nice earner!

Agree, I've just done my second jab. The first week, I was so paranoid after that I'd done it wrong and hadn't had any dose, but was confused as the liquid clearly went somewhere. I was also bracing myself for a really sharp pain as I injected, but there was nothing.

Amazing product.

I have a quick one question re repeat ‘prescriptions’, I have just started with MedExpress, so after the first 4 weeks do I order during week 3 of that cycle or do MedExpress manage this on your behalf? Thanks

That’s amazing great effort.
I am early days (day 8) on MJ and definitely in a honeymoon period (7lbs) my appetite to eat junk/drink beer has gone. I guess it’s bit placebo but great to hear from real folk sharing their journey. Anything you would like to share good/bad… I can also see this as a life changer for me …
