You're very kind guys, thank you. Since my accident in '04, I had to grieve for the person I was, in as much as I miss being able to do things like run up the stairs, or go for walks etc. Corny as it may sound, I was just glad that I could still drive and fulfill some of my dreams. I'd always wanted an E30M3 and to drive Brands Hatch and Silverstone and it just didn't matter that I walk with sticks. My first sprint was at Crystal Palace and I still remember driving my E21 race car across an almost deserted London, in the early morning sun. The first start was a pinch myself moment. It was all stuff I day dreamed about in hospital. Getting the M3 was the peak for me. I had an AC Schnitzer catalogue that I used to read over and over, when I was a gopher for David Lloyd Motorsport in the 90's. David went on to work for the Ferrari F1 team and now lives in Italy. I flew to Ireland to view the M3 because the seller would only deal face to face. There and back in a day, then a few more months to find the cash, then flew back for collection day! I was so happy.
I used the M3 every day possible and having to sell was a real wrench. I was was letting go of my dream. I know ''it's only a car'' etc, but it represented the years of dreams and hard work but I knew I couldn't work and my Mrs lost her son Jim at just 26. Jim had been born was a heart condition and life had been a battle from day one. He was a lovely guy and my fondest memory is when we gave him an E30 of his own. His mum was an inspiration in how she dealt with the pain of a sick child. She spent months living in the back of a van so she could be at the hospital every day. With neither of us able to work the M3 had to go.
Sorry for going off topic. I got a mail from someone telling me I should sell my E30 instead of accepting help from you guys and it has been in my head ever since, so feel I might need to justify keeping it? I'm grateful for what I have and worked hard despite the injuries I was recovering from. Unfortunately, I've also been through other things, such as the loss of Jim, that impacted on me. All through the past years, my passion for old BM's has been a welcome distraction. Also, friends here helped me back into my current E30 (inc David Lloyd) and it's all the more special for that. People here know I have an E30 I imagine, yet they've helped me regardless and I'm so grateful. I'm not looking for sympathy but maybe a little understanding? Thank you again to those of you that help me. I don't take those donations for granted and am incredibly grateful for their kindness, that I will always try to play on in some small way.
My hope is that those of you that do help, see my progress and how you're helping me make really positive changes to my life. I want to be able to repay the faith you've shown in me.
Anyway, back on topic, I saw the nurse yesterday and the infection appears to be clearing up with the antibiotics. The wounds look pink and healthy, so should heal fairly soon. I'm still getting used to the change in my shape and my being able to wear jeans. Yesterday I was told ''your arse looks normal sized!'', which I'm taking as a compliment.
I feel good today. I have to go to Redruth shortly and I'm going to put a tenner in the tank, to take the E30. Have a good day all. Mark

Nobody was forced to help you and as I remember it you didnt ask for help, it was offered. Just keep doing what you are doing and hopefully the exercise etc will get easier as the weight comes off. For me I ordered some shorts earlier this week and thought I would get 2 sizes of 2 styles, thinking I wouldn't be far off the smaller ones so good to have ready as paying for postage. I was very pleased that the smaller ones are fine now so I sent back the bigger size ones. That's a win!
Have a good weekend all.

Absolutely no need to justify anything, we're all petrol heads here and you'd think of all places this would be one where we all understand the positive impact cars have on us all. The person who said that has probably never helped anyone in their life, don't waste any energy on their comments.Update from me, as it’s been 2 months since stopping MJ in Feb.
Above graph is my BMI over the past year, so in 2 months I’ve undone all the weight loss from the last 3 months of MJ. Or about £400 of jabs wasted if you want to look at it that way

I need to give myself a kick up the ar5e. The plan was always to use the jab as a shortcut over winter, then come spring get back into the gym and keep the weight off via weights.
But… that hasn’t happened. Busy life, leave the house at 6.30am, get back at 8pm. Struggling to find the energy to get to the gym.
MJ made it easy to have a busy stressful life and lose weight, you didn’t need any extra time, just didn’t think about food.
Now all I think about is food. Always hungry. Bad habits sneaking back in. If I go for a few drinks after work you can bet I’m popping in for a few chicken wings on the way home.
Excuses are the only thing standing in my way, just need to get the motivation to do something about it.
I wonder how many will go the same way, once stopping jab. Ive been off the jab 10 week now and have lost a further 10lb. Ive totally changed my eating habits, smaller portions, cut fat off meat before I cook it. I did have some chocolate over Easter weekend, but still lost 1 lb. Ive said before, im on the slimming world old school red days, but weekends i have a few more carbs.
I started back on the ebike a couple of months ago and do around 100kms a week, I have it on eco now, so not far off a standard bike. I also walk over 10k steps a day, mainly walking the dog in the early mornings, but I've always done that.
My problem now is how to stop losing more weight, I had a target of 13st 7lb(4st weight loss), I came off the jab at 13st 11lb as I thought the 2.5mg that I was on for 4 months was acting like a placebo, and it was. Everyone thinks I look great and don't lose anymore weight, I was hoping I would plateau at some point, but keep losing 1lb a week.

Thank you all. I really do appreciate all the help that I get here.
Just weighed in and although I only dropped a pound this week, it was kind of expected as I wasn't able to eat as much fresh veg' etc as I usually do. I can't wait for summer to finally arrive, so the exercise regime can be expanded. I really need to work on my balance somehow, as it certainly appears to have gotten worse over the past year. The other issue I have, is that my knees appear to give way far more easily than they used to. Anyway, I'm planning on starting cycling, just as soon as I can get my leg over safely and do that thing where you put your left leg on the pedal, scoot off and lift your right leg up and over. Unfortunately, it's my left leg that's the weaker so I need to get the confidence to do what I did as a child, for years without thinking.
My 2 dogs are still here at my side and I try to start each day with a 'gratitude list', which is something I've done for 20+ years now. It's not always easy, but is certainly do'able, even on the worst of days. Today, I started with the basics like making my bed and being up, washed and dressed for 6am and ready to meet the day head on. Well as best I can anyway! Then I log onto ''Dad's Net'', as family have dubbed us here, put the radio on and go make breakfast. Routine has been important to me.
Anyway, I'm going to have half hour to tinker with the E30 and see how tough it is to remove the glue remaining from the headliner. I've also dug out a dynamo label maker for the various switches and buttons. The Devil is in the detail after all.
Have a great week everyone! Mark

I was drip feeding partial doses from the left overs from my wife’s pen, I’ve stopped that now and once a month taking a ‘full’ dose and it seems to have an effect, which will do for me.

Your BMI isn't very high though, and you lost quite a lot. I think the real 'Danger' of MJ is muscle loss. You will have lost muscle mass during the period of being on MJ unless you really focused on strength training, and now you are putting weight back on which will be nearly all fat......So if you are not focused you could end up at the same weight as before MJ, but with less muscle and more fat, I don't think anyone would want situation!!Excuses are the only thing standing in my way, just need to get the motivation to do something about it.

Apologies if this has been covered, there are a lot of pages. My partner started on MJ about 6 months ago, right from the start she felt a difference, couldnt finish a meal and didnt feel hungry. She has lost a decent amount.
In the past I never struggled with losing weight, just keeping it off, yo-yoed a lot. Anyway, I decided to give MJ a go as well, first dose was a week ago, and so far, nothing, eating the same, feel hungry a lot. Managed to put on 0.2kg this week.
Am wondering if being a bigger chap, 196cm, 122kg I need a bigger dose and will have to wait? Im due to go up to 5mg from next month, but then the current plan has me staying there for 5 months. Should I push for a bigger dose?
On the positive side I have had 0 side effects

I started at almost the exact measurements as you and lost 5kg quite quickly on 2.5mg so I don't think your size makes much of a difference. The doses build up in your system over roughly 3 weeks so if it was me I'd give it a couple of weeks and see if you feel any effects. You can plot your doses here to get an idea of the build up - https://glp1plotter.com/
That being said, you said you're eating the same and since that is the primary way you lose weight on the drug, have you tried cutting out some food or swapping to healthier choices to see if the cravings are still unmanageable? You might find that eating foods you may not have wanted before will fill you up this time around, due to the effects of the drug.
Good luck, it _will_ work, you may indeed need a higher dose but give it some time.

Yea that s a really good point actually. Need to just try and make the time.
Have you tried adapting to a new diet? Something like a keto diet keeps you very full and allows chicken wings! Scabutz said:

Short answer no, I've lost nearly 8 stone on 2.5mg, starting at 24 stone/152kg. In the past I never struggled with losing weight, just keeping it off, yo-yoed a lot. Anyway, I decided to give MJ a go as well, first dose was a week ago, and so far, nothing, eating the same, feel hungry a lot. Managed to put on 0.2kg this week.

You do need to work with it IMO and use it as a tool to help rather than just race up the doses and leaning on it taking away your entire appetite. Also, lots say the 5mg is when they really notice an effect.

it will take time to build up in you, that's why you have to make sure to take it at around the same day and time each week. depends on the person too, and how much supression they feel they need or how much of the side effects they want to put up with.In the past I never struggled with losing weight, just keeping it off, yo-yoed a lot.
