I've gained a bit of weight over the past 12/18 months and not feeling great.
Im active but not really on it with gym, diet or health and feeling it.
I'm thinking to do a 2/3 month hit on this as kick start combined with gym. A mate highly recommended 'Reta' does anyone have any experience?
People generally won't have experience of using it from any legitimate source, because it is still undergoing clinical trials.Im active but not really on it with gym, diet or health and feeling it.

2. Where can you get retatrutide?
Retatrutide is not yet available for public use. Lilly is currently studying retatrutide in Phase 3 clinical trials for obesity, type 2 diabetes, knee osteoarthritis pain, moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), chronic low back pain, cardiovascular and renal outcomes, and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD).
3. Is it safe to take retatrutide?
Retatrutide is an investigational molecule available only to participants in Lilly's clinical trials, where its safety and efficacy are still being evaluated. It has not been approved by any regulatory agency, and no one should take anything claiming to be retatrutide outside of a Lilly-sponsored clinical trial. Illicit retatrutide products may contain unknown ingredients, harmful contaminants and impurities. These products may also have too much or too little active ingredient, or the wrong ingredient entirely. Lilly continues to warn the public about the dangers of unapproved drugs.
9. When will?retatrutide?be available?to the public?
Retatrutide is currently in Phase 3 clinical trials, and launch will depend on the completion of these trials and the regulatory approval process.
Retatrutide has not been approved by any regulatory agency and is legally available only through Lilly's clinical trials. Anything sold to consumers outside of those trials is illegal, with no way to verify its safety, purity, or dosing. Taking unregulated substances poses serious health risks, and Lilly continues to work with law enforcement and regulatory authorities to combat black market drugs.

Didn't realise it wasn't legit yet to be fair so may give this 2nd thoughts.

A few of my gym mates are on Reta after doing Wegovy/Mounjaro and love it, obviously not getting it from "legal" routes. Im active but not really on it with gym, diet or health and feeling it.

I say Reta, could be horse tranquilizer in the vial.

It’s fantastic but as others have said it’s not available properly yet. Im active but not really on it with gym, diet or health and feeling it.

If you do buy it, make sure you get a kit of multiple vials and send one away to get tested so you know it’s legit.

I did a couple of months on Reta. I started at 2mg and worked up to 3. Im active but not really on it with gym, diet or health and feeling it.

I had previously tried Semiglutide and really didn't get on with it - felt nautious the entire time I was on it - almost like having a permanent stomach bug! Reta was much more subtle and I dropped around 4Kg on it. However, I really struggled to get food in me which was a pain as I have quite an active lifestyle. It also affected my mood - I felt quite depressed at times and noticed a pattern; 1-3 days after taking my mood would be very low, then after day 4 it would start to improve.
I decided to knock it on the head in the end. I'm 44, 5'8" and 71KG so not overweight, I was just trying to really lean up but decided it wasn't worth the side effects. However, I think I am in the minority as it doesn't seem to affect others in the same way.
Have a couple of weeks Wegovy left and then I'll have to go it alone. I just cannot afford to continue or else I would. I've lost well over 6 stone thus far and can finally find clothes that fit me. More than that though, my health has improved and my legs are more healed than they have been in recent years. I still don't get why my health issues aren't enough for me to qualify for an NHS script but there we are?
I still haven't had my E30 back yet. The RAC upheld my complaint yet they're fighting the refund of my expenses to get the 260 miles home. They're also demanding £140 storage fees, despite the fact that I never requested storage and was abandoned at the roadside. I expected more for my money. Anyway, apologies for the aside. I made the trip up to Brighton because I simply wanted to have a fun morning with other members ofDad's Net PistonHeads and have a distraction from health and weight loss. I've still heard nothing from my youngest son and his mother and brother still feel devastated by his actions and how he has sought to tear his family apart. I hope people can understand why I felt the need for a distraction?
Anyway, well done to all who've lost weight and/or offered support. It really is much appreciated.

I’m now two weeks in, day 15 and due to take my third mounjaro 2.5 this morning. On day one I was 106.4kg, now 102.2kg.
I don’t think it’s acted at all in the way I thought it would so far - cravings are definitely still there and I could definitely still smash down twice what I should, however it’s doing exactly what I need it to - giving me the focus not to over eat and to not snack between meals.
I guess in some ways it’s similar to when I quit vaping - there were two issues, the addiction and the habit. I managed to get to 0mg to kick the addiction but still had the habit. With this I’m still opening the wrong cupboard out of habit.
Overall steady 2kg a week losses so far are exactly where I’d like to be, so I’m delighted!

I just got on my Withings smart scales for the first time in months. They didn't recognise me by my weight becaus it's changed so much since the last time I was on them, It thought I was a guest user. I'm sure it felt disapointed when I manually assigned my current weight of 107kg to my user profile that was last weighed in October 2025 at 86kg.
Nevermind, I'm back on the gear again and heading in the right direction.

Weigh in yesterday but only lost just under 1kg so a little disappointed, although a loss is a loss.
Unfortunately my left leg was very wet under the dressing. My right leg was ok although both remain discoloured. I'll add a couple of photos for anyone interested but if you're at all squeamish maybe give it a miss. My left leg might need to go back into full compression bandages. You can make out the ridges on my legs from the neoprene wraps but the bandages allow for harder compression and ultimately, better blood flow. Things have improved so much but I'm concerned about the skin breaking down again so quickly. It only needs a tiny wound for infection and potential Sepsis, to be a real risk again. I'm just so tired of it all. I imagine many of you are sick of hearing about it?

I've been writing to my GP, my MP and basically anyone I can think of, to try and fight my case for an NHS prescription. I'm dreading my no longer being able to use either drug to continue to recover. It is what it is though, so will continue coming here for support.
Anyway, have a good weekend guys.

30% of weight loss from GLP1s come from muscle loss. Muscle loss isn't likely to be beneficial for long-term health benefits. There is now a potential mitigation. A full human monoclonal antibody preventing muscle atrophy. Essentially a drug to treat the side effects of another drug, the science is amazing.

30% might come from muscle loss if the individual doesn't take action to prevent that happening, in which case it would be 0%...https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-026-04440-4
i'd rather just eat more protein and do more exercise than have yet another drug just so i can avoid those things.
Who is it for exactly?

Inactivity causes muscle loss. I would argue from a non scientific point of view that those who have lost weight and can now take part in an active life will benefit regardless of any initial muscle loss, and can build or maintain muscle with the right diet and training in mitigation. Those for whom the goal is simply to 'lose weight on the scales' are likely not addressing these existing issues...inactivity, poor diet etc...and yes, will likely yoyo up and down, on and off the protocol. One can argue there should perhaps be more guidance and information for users than supplying a photograph and weight and height as inappropriate weight loss can be harmful, I get that, but I'd say for the majority, this drug has been a net positive.. again, that is only my feeling and I have no evidence to back this up. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-026-04440-4
I bumped up to 10mg after many moths at 7.5 and, similarly to 2.5 to 5, 5 to 7.5, feel zero difference. It clearly helps me make more informed and prudent choices but I always feel hungry and never feel 'full'. Time for cold turkey I think to see what life without a jab is lije. I think I will order another 7.5 to keep as a 'back up' in case it turns out I really need it, but if we use the 21/90 principle, 21 days to build a habit, 90 to build a lifestyle, thats almost a year I have been using MJ so the lifestyle 'habit' should be pretty well embedded now, eating clean, daily weigh ins, training hard.
I’m back on the crack, having fallen off the wagon when I inadvertently went cold turkey earlier this year.
I had been on 7.5mg Mounjaro (albeit titrating to 6mg as too many side effects at 7.5), but a combination of work and other personal circumstances meant I missed an appointment, which led to failing to order.
I thought I might be able to manage, but the stress allowed me to slip back into terrible eating habits. As a result 4 months has resulted in 10kg weight gain.
Finally sorted myself out. Have had to start at the beginning, The stress hasn’t gone away, so I need to find a way to knock the bad habits on the head quickly and halt (and then reverse) the weight gain.
My insight is that I might always have to rely on weight loss medication. I might have to accept I can’t keep it off without it. Of course the cost is really high right now (I’m fortunate I can afford it), but it will come off patent and become cheaper.
Also, new products will be brought out - Wegovy tablets are due to be approved this summer - making it more accessible.

The cost is definitely problematic isnt it? Mrs and I are both on MJ so £500 or so a month, or every 6 weeks. This is mitigated to an extent by the money we save on junk food, weekend takeaway and weekend wine but that only goes so far. Anybody using Elva as a supplier? https://shop.elvalabs.co/
I've been directed to them, and on the face of it seem more cost effective.
As I've not seen them mentioned in here (not read every page, I dip in and out) I though I'd best check they are legit.

I came off the jabs completely 5 weeks ago and never went above 2.5mg. So far I’ve lost a total of 45.6kg, and I’m actually still losing weight even now.
I’ll be finishing my current cut on 18th June, then taking some time to enjoy my holiday. After that, the plan is to move into maintenance and then start a clean bulk.
Mounjaro has genuinely been life‑changing for me. From the start, I knew any changes I made to my diet and training had to be sustainable once I stopped the medication, and that’s what I’ve focused on. So far, it’s paid off.
I know I’ll need to increase calories when I start bulking, but I’m still planning to train 6 days a week to keep fat gain under control and focus on building muscle.
I’ve been overweight for 17 years, so being at a normal weight now feels unreal. It honestly feels like I’ve got my life back.

Bit of research suggests much dodginess. I'm not against using peptides from reputable suppliers BUT no longer know any reputable suppliers having been well away from that side of things for a looong time.I've been directed to them, and on the face of it seem more cost effective.
