So, I need to lose a couple of stone to get me just into healthy. Lots of family crap going on at the moment which is making me comfort eat, especially in the evenings.
Prices seem to have come down and I favour the pills.
Any recommendations for a supplier?
I tried boots but gave up as they never seemed happy with the photos I was providing. Ended up using the terribly named Chemist 4 U only because I currently use them for my anti histamines. No complaints delivered via Royal mail tracked service within 3 days of ordering.Prices seem to have come down and I favour the pills.

Been on the MJ from Bolt Pharmacy although initiating it was painful, they've been great since. Once I got onto the 10mg I really suffered, Diarrhoea and evil stomach cramps. As we have a lot going on it was disrupting my life. So for the past 2 weeks I've been off it completely.
A shame as I was losing weight steadily on it from 120+ down to 104.5. I've bounced back to 105.5 this week but there is still a lot going on so that's disrupting my concentration on food and limiting intake.

I use the family chemist as I knew they’d prescribe with underlying health condition (ileostomy). I think I could save a tenner elsewhere but have a hard time getting accepted.
I’m 8 weeks in, so at the end of my first full 5mg pen and im exactly 12kg down in total. I’ve obviously stayed on 5mg for the next four weeks as loss has been consistent and whilst you can notice a definite tapering off towards the end of the week each week is generally okay to get through.
Tonight I have a ‘football dads’ curry night which would normally be my time to shine as to how much I can binge eat and drink. Hopefully I can get through half a portion and a shandy unnoticed!
Whilst I can see a visual change I’ve not had many comments which is great.. yesterday someone said I’d lost loads of weight and I just replied ‘oh really?’ which was enough to close the conversation. Because of my historic IBD and subsequent stoma, my weight has yo-yo’d massively over the years and weight loss was always connected to be very unwell. I’d rather a world where nobody comments on other people’s gains and losses but guess it’s inevitable.
Interesting to read people’s thoughts on the new tablets, but so far doesn’t sound convincing enough to make the change from a jab. Have a good week all!

I’ve just requested to go on the jabs rather than another round of tablets, if I need to have blood tests every 8 weeks may as well put up with the trauma every week which will hopefully help with my needle phobia. Started sweating even typing that! As mentioned before, tablets aren’t really doing anything and my wake up routine is now very challenging as I need to take the tablets, wait 60 mins then take my thyroxine, then wait another 60 mins and then I can have my first coffee..

Take your thyroxine on a night? It’s a slow release drug so doesn’t matter when you take it
I echo the above, having always been scared by needles. It was the comments by others when researching reading back on this thread before I started who said the 4mm/5mm is tiny that gave me the confidence to try and I'm so glad I did. It really doesn't bother me now, but a blood test needle still would. The MJ to me is no worse then pressing a ballpoint pen on my skin. I alternate inner thighs each week as the fatty site means not sensitive for me.

This morning I weighed myself and i’m actually 1lb down, thinking about it my snacking seems better so maybe I’m being unreasonable.
I think like any drug it will become addictive as in once you come off it the weight will come back as old habits and appetite return. So people start using it again to shed the weight. The price will continue to increase because they know people need to have it to shift the weight.
I know 2 blokes who have used it , lost a lot of weight ( one for his wedding). And both have put it on again after they stopped it.
For people with mobility issues/ disabilities and serious health issues i think its good But for long term use i dont think its the answer.
I read somewhere that 1 in 8 Americans are on it !!!!! Thats a lot of people.

Random story. I’ve just spent the weekend doing some rope access training.
Before one of the exercises, the instructor said ‘right, i need ‘A Skinny’ to go over the edge with the stretcher please’. And pointed at me!
I’ve always been ‘one of the big lads’, the ones who get asked to carry the gear, haul the ropes, the one who man handles stuff over things. Now I’m A Skinny.
It’s a very odd change of identity to have given to me based on my new size. Took me by surprise and it’s going to need some adjusting to (6’1” 95kg to 83kg)
I deffo need to start lifting again though. I’m weak as piss

Addictive is the wrong word, but I agree that many people will use it long term to gain the health benefits and keep the weight off and good for them if they need to and can afford to.I know 2 blokes who have used it , lost a lot of weight ( one for his wedding). Like any medication – if you stop taking it, you don’t get the benefits. However this drug is slightly different because you can get the benefits to help lose weight and quite feesably change diet/exercise routines and keep the weight off after stopping taking the drug.
You know two people that lost weight only to regain it which (to me) is a shame – they obviously did not change their habits. To counterbalance the two people you know that gained weight I know four people that have not -including myself, wife and sister (who lost a third of her body weight)
I disagree regarding price.
I think the drug companies should be able to charge large amounts of money for a new drug that works. Once their licences expire there will be many legitimate ‘copies’ that will retail at a fraction of the present price.
This is the thing ,if people can change their habits to keep the weight down after they have used the drug ,then why cant they do it before ?
Some people just can’t control the urge to eat/ drink too much and the drug will help them control that.
Some will keep the weight off same as people keep the weight off without the drug just by sensible eating/ exercise. But a lot wont and will just keep repeating the cycle of weight loss/gain. I suspect for the rest of their lives.
I don’t know the effects in will have in the long term 20-30 years , maybe none ? Maybe more serious ? But i think long term use can’t sensible.

We haven't had one of these in a while. Some people just can t control the urge to eat/ drink too much and the drug will help them control that.

I've tried dieting for years and got bored, by not losing much weight. Some people just can t control the urge to eat/ drink too much and the drug will help them control that.

When I found out I could get Mounjaro in Spain, I thought I would give try. Was getting fed up with being embarrassed taking my tshirts off around the pool, 17st 7lb with a superb beer gut.
So October last year, decided to give the MJ 2.5mg a go, and the weight fell off. I stayed on 2.5mg for 4 months and came off it at 13st 11lb. It seemed more of a placebo by then and didn't want to go on higher doses.
I've lost 1st 6lb since I've been off it, been 12st 6lb for about a month now and ain't going back.
