Well after applying with boots and failing the photo test.
I have applied and passed with MedExpress my first pen should be here tomorrow.
I am grossly over weight at 22stone and in my 50’s so hope with help from the wife I can break this cycle of eating all the time.
I’m worried about the side effects but most of all I hate needles, really hate needles so am not sure how I’m going to overcome this.

Trust me on this: it's nothing.It's not a needle. Well, it is, but it's barely feels or looks like one. It's extremely small.
I don't place it in me either. I just whack it down hard on my thigh and then press the button down.
You'll be fine and I know someone whose wife helped them, just in case you feel too nervous

1st pic I’d already lost 8lb and strength training a few months. Started the jab because I couldn’t stop the picking. The bacon, the pastry, the beer etc
I’m now 6 months into my training, 2.5 months on the jab. It’s given me head space to see progress but also make better choices. I found 5mg to be my sweet spot. Supression gets lower week by week and that suits me fine. I’m now on the road of managing weight and choices Weight loss is slower but my energy and will power is higher.
It’s not a cure. It’s a reset.

21/12/2024 - 14st 0.5lbs. 23.8% fat, 72.4% muscle. Christmas...
02/01/2025 - 14st 1.2lbs, 23% fat, 73.2% muscle. Moved to 5mg
06/01/2025 - 13st 10.7lbs, 23.3% fat, 72.9% muscle.
10/01/2025 - 13st 7.4lbs 22.9% fat, 73.3% muscle.
17/01/2025 - 13st 5lbs 21.8% fat, 74.3% muscle.
30/01/2025 - 12st 12.9lbs 20.6% fat, 75.4% muscle. 27/01/2025 moved to 7.5mg
15/02/2025 - 12st 6lbs 19.3% fat, 76.7% muscle.
Getting massive room clearing sulphur burps on 7.5mg, two doses in. Will be finishing up this course at the end of the month and tapering - by my maths i will be at about 12 stone-ish. Slow zone two running continues to feature heavily, and i need to introduce weight lifting as i am focussed on shifting fat % not, weight per-se. My clothes no longer fit at all.

Update.
Took my first jab tonight. It’s been on my mind since it arrived this morning, Dreading the needle.
Read the instructions a 100 times watched videos on you tube about the process and how to inject yourself.
Built up enough bottle to start the process, get to the final bit of sticking it in and just couldn’t bring myself to do it. Wife offered but that just annoyed me even more as I know she woud have taken great pleasure in sticking it to me.
10 mins pass and my arm muscle wouldn’t allow my brain to self harm……
Another 5 mins and I getting angry with myself for being some sort of wet blanket….. then with all my might and big boy pants on, I did it ……. …….. is it in ? I didn’t feel anything, I let out a little school girl giggle and proceeded to push the liquid in.

So first dose taken Saturday night. Within the hour I felt bloated and little nauseous but nothing too bad. Roll on today
Breakfast consisting of half a bowl of shreddies and cup of coffee, noon I had a slim fast shake but have been feeling hungry all afternoon.
Will this pass ? Half a portion of dinner this evening has helped.

I suppose as long as it's delivered into fat away from other gubbins then it's all good. Avoid eyeball and bell-end.

I'm into week three and the appetite suppression is still good. I notices it wanes a bit around day 5/6 but nothing too bothersome. A disappointing development for me was the booze-suppression appears to have worn off. And most of the weekend I found I was back to my old habits of sinking pints of beer every night. I'm hoping the step-up to a larger dose will keep this in check. I know it's not the intended use but it was a nice side-effect at first.

Yeah you are probably right. Perhaps I’ve cut back too much. I work from home and this is half the battle I sit in front of a computer all day and don’t move.Perhaps you are hungry. Also try to not fall into a mindset of ‘this will solve everything for me’. You are on a diet, part of a diet is being hungry at times. You may also need to work mentally on replacing boredom/emotional eating that you did whilst working from home previously

Feel a few hunger pangs and a cup of tea is more than enough for them to go away.
