BMI figures really are nuts, I'm 6ft 4 and to get to a BMI of 25 which is the very top of a healthy weight I need to be 14st 8lb/92.5kg. I had meningitis in my 20's and was around that weight after a stay in hospital, it was not a good look!
Same height as me. I got down to 100kg in 2011ish. I looked ill at that weight, let along another 8kg! I'm not going that far again. 110kg would be my ideal weight I think.

Had a bit of a bad day yesterday when I got home and snacked. Think I'm coming down with a cold.

But a very good gym session today. Some cable rows, fill stacking the machine of about 80kg. Some incline bench press with dumbbells. 27.5kg in each arm (my best with dumbbells. 60kg barbell is my best overall) and some tricep stuff.

Scales after eating where 139kg so on target still.
I'm 6'4" and currently 16st 3lb. I reckon I'd look like I've been dug up if I went under 15st.

I'm aiming to about 15st 7lb as a final goal, my wife already tells me she thinks I look gaunt, it's not gaunt yet, it's just not as chubby and she's not used to it laugh

BMI figures are nuts. I weighed again this morning as I'm on fast and dipped into the 91kg range. Lightest I've seen in probably 10 years but still classed as overweight for BMI. For my height of 6'1 they reckon 81kg is ideal. I can't see me going that low. Have a smart scale and fat has been coming off steadily but I know this because clothes are a lot looser. Will be doing more weights and walking with the vest more to maintain muscle.

It's stupid; always has been

6ft 4 here; ex competitive powerlifter... Was 142kg, down to 109kg now, unfortunately through health issues

BMI would still have me as clinically obese rolleyes

I'm still wide'ish; not as wide as I was. but much bigger than 'your average joe'

Just updated my wiki entry. Weight loss has slowed down a bit as expected. 105kg down to 87 which is 18kg loss since beginning of December.

1kg down in last 2 weeks but I've started increasing my calorie intake a bit as I get towards my 80kg target.
Incredible effort, you must look like a completely different person! We demand before and after pics!
Hate pictures to be honest but here 2 I have on my phone... first one from beginning of January, second one from Tuesday this week

So. I've successfully achieved my target weight well inside the first quarter of the year. Perhaps I wasn't being ambitious enough? But I'm comfortably inside the NHS 'healthy weight' range now. No longer in the 'overweight' category.

woohoo
A proper well done to you - outstanding work!

I should be between 57 and 77kg for my height pretty much at just under 5ft 10.

I’d look too skinny I’m sure if I lost another 11kg! I’m fairly muscular through sport.

I'm less than an inch shorter than you at 6'3.1" (ish) and currently weigh 16 st 12 lbs. I'll be happy to get down to 15 st 6 lbs, am curious as to what I'd look like at 15 stone but probably not much different, I guess.

Great work, AB, congratulations!! clap

Pound off this week leaving me just a pound short of six stone. Eating lots, walking lots seems to be how things are going right now but hopefully with a little more control this week, might get over the line. That would then leave me with a stone to lose in seven weeks which if you had told me 44 weeks ago that this would be my position, I'd have taken it all day long.

Brilliant work, feels great doesn't it?

I'm feeling particularly hungry today so I'm thinking of having a day off.

Same here funnily enough. Walked to Asda earlier (a 6k round trip) to pick up some milk etc and have come back with an appetite. hehe

Won't go bonkers, but may have a half day!!

I had a takeaway last night. My son is staying for the weekend, and my wife was home late from work. It was for convenience as much as anything.

So we ordered from a good local takeaway shop, from their own website to cut out the Just Eat/Deliveroo scam.

I had a regular Doner Kebab. Same one I've polished off completely, many times before. This morning, I feel both good, and bad. Good, because I was defeated by it. I couldn't finish all the meat, and ate none of the Naan (it's an "Indian twist" on a traditional Doner). But bad "because food waste".

I've not weighed myself yet, this morning, but I'm hoping it hasn't done to much damage to my weight loss graph.

I'm left wondering if it was the steak pasty I had for my lunch, which reduced my appetite, or if my appetite is just shrinking anyway. I'm effectively "intermittent fasting" most days anyway. I seldom eat two meals in a day, and never three anymore. Maybe my stomach capacity is lower than before I started losing weight...?

Funny enough I had similar feeling last night. Was breaking a 48hr fast and wanted to try the new pizza place as it's proper Italian pizza which I've not had in years. Went in only wanting a pepperoni but saw their house special which was a carbonara and they looked a bit small so had two. I was stuffed after 1. Ate some of the pepperoni but put it in the fridge for tonight. Bar the usual stomach fall out I don't feel too bad apart from really full. The lesson here is my stomach has shrunk so I don't need the volume. I'll go back to 1 meal a day, I have mountains to do tomorrow if all goes well and weigh again Sunday night.

Well, I've just weighed myself. 66.9kg. Up by 0.5kg from yesterday, but still under my 67.0kg target weight. So not too much to worry about, as some of that will be normal daily fluctuation.

No hunger so far this morning, either. Which is a shame as there's a nice 'Hedgehog' loaf from an independent bakery which is just begging to be toasted. We've got a table booked in a Harvester for 4.45pm, so that will probably be when I break fast today. Harvester restaurant chosen mainly because it's on the way to a new live comedy venue we're going to, and it means I can walk there, and have a couple of drinks with it. Normally I'd be driving, but this new venue is much closer to home.

I might have a pizza tonight, total day off. It's no fun otherwise and becomes a bit obsessive.

I didn’t join the weekly update thing this time but I’ve been working hard to drop some weight this year.

Various reasons and various excuses but I’ve put far too much weight on over the last 12 months.

Start of the year I was 14 1/2 stone and to be honest I looked a complete mess!

Stopped drinking on the 9th Jan, stuck to a strict diet and upped the effort in the gym.

Weight today 13 stone - down 1 1/2 stone. The first few pounds lost were just the bloat from xmas though

I’m keeping on this plan until the end of March then I’ll look to back out of the diet slowly through April.

I’m hoping to end up next to 12 stone but realistically 12 1/2 is more likely.

I’m not going to lie it’s been hard work and the reduced calories are draining my energy but I know from experience that once I up the calories I’ll feel great at the lower weight.

Have a good weekend all.

I took the liberty of updating the Wiki to create a 2nd table for those who have no updated since Jan. I'll try and keep it at a rolling month of so if all is okay with that. If I've removed anyone in error I do apologise.

Another absolute disaster of a week for me, I've had a cold since Monday and as a result, I've been to the gym a grand total of 0 times. The first week since the middle of November that I've not been able to go.

I've taken care with what I've eaten and I'm still down but frustratingly, still haven't cracked the sub 100kg barrier yet. I didn't expect it to be this tough!

100.10kg this morning, so only 0.1kg down.

Had a joint birthday for my two this weekend so I'm not even bothering with the scales biglaugh

Far too much cake consumed. However, it was lovely to hear people commenting on my weight loss and how good I looked. Proper ego boost and a reason to keep going!

Take the rough with the smooth dude. I feel your pain, had a horrible cold and a really bad back for the last 2 weeks so I've not been doing anything other than walking the dog and the exercises my physio gave me for my back. Super annoying.

0.1kg down is absolutely fine, don't get down over it. I'd be happy with that as I'm putting off weighing myself laugh

Some weeks I've put on 3lbs but it's a marathon not a sprint.

138.3kg after the weekend. A small decrease since last Monday. I did go for breakfast with the others at work on Sunday which was a fry up.

Off to the gym in a bit.
