Well, a weekend of excessive (by my daily standard) eating didn't do my progress too much damage . . .
Thursday - Takeaway Doner Kebab.
Friday - Three courses and a couple of beers at our local Harvester restaurant.
Saturday - home cooked Full English at home, as brunch.
Sunday - roast pork, crackling, and pudding at Holmsley Old Station tea rooms in the New Forest.
Although I was a minute slower at parkrun than I'd hoped, my weight seems pretty steady. In the last 7 days three have been over 67.0kg, four under. Highest recorded weight was 67.3kg, lowest was 66.4kg.
I'll take that as a win.
My wife, though, has expressed some concern. She thinks I'm in danger of taking the weight loss too far. I showed her the inch I can still pinch around my belly, and assured her that I will stop trying to lose any more weight if I get down to 65.0kg. Although I suspect things will come into balance by themselves before I get that low.
With the 67.0kg target reached, and the weekly average holding fairly steady, focus must now shift to training for my bike race at the end of March, and then to trimming some time off my 5k and 10k run PBs.
Confidence is high!

I was 91.5kg after an 8 mile hike and a few peaks I bagged. I've no doubt put on a touch after food and fluids so I'll weigh Wednesday to see. Feeling good, shorts I bought that didn't fit now do easily. Some trousers are now too big so can't wear them. I'd like to get into the 80's but that really would be uncharted waters. I was 16 the last time I was that light. That was 20 years ago.
This week started off so promising, I had 4 consecutive days of -0.3kg which bottomed out at 103.3kg and would have put me on track for a 1.2kg loss, alas it was not to be. After spending the full day skiing on Saturday and a decent trail run Sunday my weight bounced upwards to 103.9 on Sunday, 104.1 on Monday and pulled back slightly to 103.9 this morning. Usual story, I have not over eaten and I strongly suspect this water weight is being held due to the effects of strenuous exercise on Saturday and Sunday.
At the end of the day, a loss is still a loss, even if it isn't in-line with the general trend of previous weeks, I have not made any significant changes so its just a case of staying consistent, accepting that weight loss is not linear and naturally it will slow down as my body catches up with the exercise and diet regime.
- Starting Weight - 118.4kg
- Week 1 - 115.4kg (-3kg)
- Week 2 - 113.4kg (-2kg)
- Week 3 - 112.4kg (-1kg)
- Week 4 - 110.5kg (-1.9kg)
- Week 5 - 109.6kg (-0.9kg)
- Week 6 - 107.3kg (-2.3kg)
- Week 7 - 106.0kg (-1.3kg)
- Week 8 - 104.5kg (-1.5kg)
- Week 9 - 103.9kg (-0.6kg)
Total Lost - 14.5kg or 31.9lb or 2st 3lb

Going to do an extended fast this week to kickstart ketones and get back onto keto properly. Been emptying the freezers since the start of the year! Lots of breads and wraps I'd picked up super cheap or free, and even eating OMAD the gluten bloats me up and keeps weight loss at zero. Been walking 5-6 miles a day which helps, but a good fast & proper eating regime will help things along. I weigh and record in kg, but my brain works in st/lbs
116.2kg this morning, so perilously close to breaking through the 18st mark.
On the subject of BMI, according to my height ~5' 9" I should be 9.5st to 12st. I once in the dim and distant past managed to get myself down to 12st 3lbs from a peak of 18st, and to be blunt I looked gaunt and unwell. I think somewhere around 14st would be a healthy weight for me, despite that being 'overweight' officially. So, only another 4st to go.

Been monitoring since the beginning of the year… January didn’t go well with a kg gain, but now back in the zone and 3 and a half kilos down…. I’m being careful about what I’m eating but not ridiculously… just not going to excess all the time.
The big one for me has been being more active… desk bound job, and last year had issues with AF that put me off exercising… so since Xmas I’ve started doing a lot of walking…. And I really think that’s helping…. I’ve even started doing a bit of running again, building up distance gradually to a 5k, but limiting my heart rate to 140 so very slow…

After a couple of frankly awful weeks, where I got back to within a kg of my starting weight, I've had three good days in a row and am almost back to where I was three weeks ago.
I have been avoiding a final session on a rib panel for a while now, well the photos of my fat-ass on the internet really...so going to book it for three weeks time to try and help myself stay focused and build better habits.

Water weight seems to have completely dropped off, and then some. From 103.3kg up to 104.1kg and then down to 103.0kg in 4 days or so, has to be the recovery response.
Something I have been reading about lately is the way that our bodies respond to stress, specifically the effect on our weight. I have a few really stressful life things going on at the minute and as a result I carry a lot of anxiety characterized by long periods of that feeling in the pit of your stomach (essentially a constant adrenal response).
I have noticed that in the last few days my food noise has been really significant, wanting to constantly snack or thinking about my next meal despite just eating or not feeling hungry at the time. So far I have managed to win the battle between pigging out and keeping things under control but its difficult you know?
So, it is noted that while short-term stressful events does lead to the release of adrenalin, which can shut down your appetite, continued stress leads to the release of cortisol instead of adrenalin. Cortisol is said to have a motivating effect on the body, including the desire to eat.

8 weeks for me. 236lbs at the start. 216lbs today. 20lbs lost. I am working in KG normally but always uplifting when looking at numbers you understand/grew up with. Original target was 100kg, then 95kg (currently 98) but I've decided a nice round 200lbs is the new target. That's 90.7kg.

Went out and ran a 5k pb yesterday of 25mins, almost 2mins quicker than my previous best, from 2019 when I was 5kg more than now. It's astonishing how much weight impacts running, and to a lesser extent cycling (set a PB up Alpe Du Zwift the other day too).
Keep going everyone. Will be interesting to total up the entire losses later in the year. If we can get up-to-date weights at the end of March I'll do a 3 month loss calculation.

Updated the wiki, rubbish progress from me, not really changed my behaviours in terms of eating too much s
te food and drinking too many tinnies.
Frustratingly slow progress in terms of recovering from trashing my leg / knee but can't complain as still getting lots of long walks in with the dog.
If I'm really honest I'm not that motivated to shift the weight as I like beer & takeaways too much but am definitely motivated to get fit again, just need to be patient with the recovery!

A solid two pounds lost this week which I'll happily take. Am working hard every week for that, mind you, it's not a given to lose anything. That'll be 1 stone 4 lbs since January 1st and 6 stone 1 lb since May 1st last year.
This week was 27.3 miles of walking, four gym sessions (only doing rowing and cycling), a 6k run and a parkrun. Eating is up and down, but overall, I'm happy.

So 4 weeks since starting MJ. 97Kg. After loosing just over 5kg since taking my first MJ dose, I have put on 0.3kg this week. Bit of a shame and interested to work out why. I have probably been below my calories most days, so probably just my body going into panic mode.
Going to try and eat 1500 calories more consistently and hopefully it starts falling off again. Interested in giving the carnivore diet a go with this, but don’t want to change too many things at once.
Suppression has not been great the last few weeks either, I have picked up a few sneaky crème eggs while out and about so hopefully the 5mg I have done will get rid of that food noise again.
Fingers crossed!

Weighed yesterday morning and didn't believe the weight. Had food last night and weight again this morning and was the same so was real. Down to 90.8kg. The 80's seem in reach now. I have 2 weeks off from next week and I'm pretty busy with DIY and other things. Will definitely be getting some big walks in. Happy with the progress as that's at least 10kg off since Christmas. Bought new T-Shirts that were medium and fit great.

Not a great week for me so far. After a big drop a few weeks ago, from 68.×kg to 66.×kg, things have hit a bit of a plateau.

The previous week was consistently in the 66.× range. Eating has been broadly healthy and disciplined, and I've been more active than usual, with some (Garmin estimated) 3,000 calorie days.
I'm not overly disappointed, as my target was 67.0kg, and the weekly average is close to that target. But between eating, running, and cycling, I had quietly been hoping to get closer to 66.0kg than the 67.0kg this week. But, so long as I don't start putting it back on, I will be happy.
parkrun 5k is the plan on Saturday. Possibly pushing it out to a 10k run all-in if I take a slightly longer route home. Not looking for a PB this weekend, unless I turn up with someone else's legs on Saturday morning . . .
