Urg. s
te weekend food wise.
Saturday wasn't too bad during the day. Dinner was a sausage sandwich as I couldn't be f
ked with cooking.
Two sausages were 287 calories each!
Then it went downhill.
Five Curely Wurley bars.
Five caramel Freddios.
Four Crunchie bars.
Today has been better, but not brilliant. Greggs sausage roll for lunch and a roast dinner for dinner.
Filled up on veg mainly.
I'll jump on the scales tomorrow, but I'm expecting to be 138.x at the least.
Tomorrow is a new day. I'm skint so can't afford snacks which is good.
We shall see how the week goes.

Well just popped into the Ralph Lauren shop on the way to the airport and I’m a Slim Fit Large in their shirts which I’ve never been before. Last time I bought one was XL Classic Fit and the issue I have always had is I could never wear them untucked because they went to my knees.
Happy days! I look much smarter now (even if I do say so myself).

With the 3-month point arriving next week my goal for the coming week is another -1.2kg to take me under the (largely symbolic) 100kg point. Of course it does not matter if I do not hit it, but it would be nice to round this first period since starting in January. Relatively happy with this weeks loss, although it never feels like I am achieving loss commensurate to the amount of exercise and calorie restriction that takes place - this is totally a me problem and looking at the consistent loss over the last months the evidence is clear that hard work and commitment does indeed pay off.
It almost went un-noticed since I deal largely in units of KG, but I am now also in the 15st range.
- Starting Weight - 118.4kg
- Week 1 - 115.4kg (-3kg)
- Week 2 - 113.4kg (-2kg)
- Week 3 - 112.4kg (-1kg)
- Week 4 - 110.5kg (-1.9kg)
- Week 5 - 109.6kg (-0.9kg)
- Week 6 - 107.3kg (-2.3kg)
- Week 7 - 106.0kg (-1.3kg)
- Week 8 - 104.5kg (-1.5kg)
- Week 9 - 103.9kg (-0.6kg)
- Week 10 - 102.7kg (-1.2kg)
- Week 11 - 101.2kg (-1.5kg)
Total Lost - 17.2kg or 37.9lb or 2st 9lb

Great work there, Duncan, you've done fantastically.
I'll put my pictures up on here at the end of my challenge, first week of May, and like you, it's not until I started seeing pictures of the change that it really sunk in.
Two pounds off for me this week meaning 6 stone 3lbs off since May 1st 2024. Six weeks to go, and I'd be over the moon to lose a stone more in that time.
That's great work losing 6st in under a year is 2lbs a week is good going!

I've just updated the Wiki.
65.7kg this morning.
Target weight this YEAR was 67.0kg.
I said in a previous post that I'd only post again if I felt I had a positive contribution to make. This does feel like I'm just boasting. But the thing is, I'm still losing weight even though I'm not really trying to. A restaurant meal on Tuesday lunchtime. Leftover pizza at 10pm last night (my wife had brought it home from an evening out with work colleagues). Yesterday wasn't a great day for me food-wise. Lots of bread, sandwiches with lots of sauce on them, a scotch egg, a bowl of cereal with half a pint of milk.
My wife was concerned last night when she came home. "Please tell me you've eaten today . . . ?" She thinks I've gone too far. Doesn't want me to lose any more. The trouble is, the way I've retrained my habits around food, and meal timings, has changed my appetite. I just can't cram food in the way I used to be able to.
Just recently I've been weighing myself multiple times per day. As an observation, I'm seeing fewer high anomalous readings, and more low anomalous data. On the 5th and 24th March I saw readings below 66kg. In that same period I saw 10 days of weigh-ins of 67kg or above. But this is the first time I've had consecutive days at sub 66kg. It might not "stick", but it's slightly concerning, mainly on account of my having bought a few new clothes in smaller sizes in the sales last year, shorts and jeans mainly. They were snug when I tried them on, but now look like they'll need a belt to hold them up!.
Based on previous experience of trying to "get in shape", I'd expected the 67.0kg target I set for this year to be hard to achieve. It turned out to be a great deal easier than I'd anticipated. I'm not entirely sure where this self-indulgent ramble is heading really. But I think I needed to type it out, if only for me to be able to make sense of things.
I'm off to Pembrey this weekend, to participate in the Battle On The Beach bike race. There'll be a cafe in the country park where it's held, and the usual burgers, chips, pizza and beer in the event arena. Maybe I'll put a bit of timber back on? Maybe my weight will find a level and settle down naturally. One thing is for sure, and that's that I don't think I will "look good" if my weight starts to dip below 65.0kg. At this rate I may have to [shudder] consider joining a gym to try to bulk up a bit . . .

I wouldn't be too concerned, what you should take away from this experience is that you have control over your weight based on the exercise and food you take in. There is some obvious inertia in weight loss while our bodies catch up to the status quo, fluid levels normalise and daily abulations find a routine - perhaps its time to weigh yourself at a lower frequently, perhaps every 5 days to start removing the noise and building a cleaner average so that you can gradually add food in to stablise.

I think your wife is right to be concerned. You seem a little obsessive over this and analysing tiny, tiny fluctuations in weight. Exercise and eat well and relax now.
It's not the weight I'm obsessing about. I weigh myself whenever I'm undressed. So, first thing in the morning, then when I change into sportswear for a run or a ride, and again when I'm undressed after I've washed/showered, then possibly again before getting into bed. What I do get obsessed about is data. Numbers, and patterns, really interest me. That's more what the multiple weigh-in thing is about. I spend far too much time scrolling on Garmin Connect and Strava. I've never counted a full day's worth of calories either. I'm more aware of portion size, and of what calories particular food items contain. I've not given anything up, although I'm more likely than before to take the lower of two calorie options when faced with a choice. Simple stuff, like opting for Honey and Mustard salad dressing instead of Thousand Island. Fortunately, I really like both.
As an aside, I've just been to Tesco. I sought out higher protein and higher calorie options for items I want to pack for the weekend. I even bought a few energy gels and jellybeans for the race itself. I wouldn't normally bother with specific "sports nutrition" stuff for a normal daily exercise session. And I fully intend to eat lamb burgers until I grow a fleece this weekend. I'll also be away from the weighing scales until Monday night, and then from Tuesday to Saturday next week. Which will, I think, be an interesting experiment to see how much my weight does fluctuate over a week without any "data noise" to potentially influence (consciously, or subconsciously) what I eat and when. I won't be able to take a step back from activity, though. I fully intend to continue my "Activity Streak" which is currently at 89 consecutive days of either walking or running at least 5k per day, or cycling for more than an hour. I'm counting the days where I only walk as my rest days.
Wasn't expecting it but 85kg this morning so hit the magic 20kg loss I've been chasing. 80kg is the target by the summer.
I've been in Germany for a few days this week, didn't bother with the booze but didn't watch what I ate, plenty of sausages. The difference must have been the 25/30k steps a day.

Just 0.2kg off this week which, as I work in stones and pounds, didn't equate to losing a full pound, so stuck on 6 stone 3 pounds loss in 47 weeks.
Little bit puzzling as I did some big numbers of walking and running this week. A 6k run on Wednesday, a 14k walk on Friday, a parkrun on Saturday, a 5k run & an 8k walk on Monday plus two short gym sessions of rowing and cycling led me to believe I'd lose a couple of pounds but hey ho. There has been weeks where I've lost weight and not known quite how so this is the same really.
Onwards and upwards, would like to lose 13 pounds in the next five weeks however can't have any more stayed-the-same weeks now.
