I went to my gf's xmas party (they organised on a bloody week night and it was in the middle of no where) so I wasn't going to drink.

I must of had 10+ J2O's and felt worse in the morning than if I had of had 20 pints!

I hate this situation... You can't ask for water, I don't like soda water and I'm trying to steer clear of fizzy stuff... I'm stuck!!!

I'm partial to a bitter lemon when alcohol is off the menu.

Plus, it's so bitter you can only stomach 3-4 of them.

half half of ginger beer and ginger ale, with a splash of angastora bitters over ice,

called a Gunner and very refreshing especially on a hot day.

I was going to say that. You're in Singa/KL area aren't you. Last one I had out there was at the Selangor Club, KL.

Cranberry and lemonade - cold, fizzy, not too sweet. Half and half juice and water on ice is also good - don't drink neat juice too often, the fruit acids are terrible for teeth.
Your a cheap date. wink

I may try your drink, but swap the lemonade for Soda, sounds nice.
Even before booze-incompatible meds I was always the designated driver. irked

always thought thers a market for pubs selling fresh juices / smoothies etc. if u cant drink for some goforsaken reason why should you have to put up with britvic these days. if everyone is spending £4 a pint on piss why cant you get a funky fresh juice. even if you are drinking alcohol why cant you get fresh e.g. orange juice with your gin etc. even decent coffee seems impossible to get in a pub cant starbucks etc sell them a machine ffs. get with it pubs no wonder you are dying

Tried Lime and Soda out tonight, worked well however I still suffer from drinking all drinks too quickly.

And at least if I drink Diet Coke I get a caffeine rush to bang out some shapes. Or at least it feels like I do!

Out here is is qite common for people to not drink so most every bar / pub does a comprehensive list of "Mocktails", Good way for the non drinker to not feel left out, as t hey get something that visually looks impressive rather than just a squirt of crappy cola, also doesn't look any different to an allcoholic drink so keeps the peer preasure muppets at bay.

SWMBO much prefers going out to bars etc here over the UK because of this.

I tend to drink Bundaberg Ginger Beer. Its brewed like beer but with the alcohol taken out. All natural, great tasting and you drink it out of the bottle like beer. Not many places stock it though.
