Still debating whether I actually want/need to sell it
And I feel exactly the same about the elise.
The exhaust I have on the Evora helps massively as it sounds amazing singing alongside the engine when you put your foot down.

It went yesterday and is staying (relatively) local. The new owner has a great car in my opinion, and I'm having a serious case of buyers remorse.
A shame.
I miss owning mine but have never thought "damn, wish I could go for a drive in the Evora"...but i still have the VX

2+2. Manual. Suspect budget won’t stretch to a S
Ideally this side of 30k, but man maths is a thing.
Sport/tech packs nice.

Just had a look a current Evora prices. Wow, the £20k Evora hasn't looked this far away since about 2011! S1 Sports Racer listed at £50k? Wow.
Will be very interesting to revisit in a years time once there are a few Emiras out there.
it is an interesting time! the problem is I think that many Evora owners are hanging on to them because of high prices - not cashing in.Will be very interesting to revisit in a years time once there are a few Emiras out there.
For me, my Elise is the keeper. the Evora fits nicely as a 6cyl, GT, great Lotus steering and handling. I intend to give it up at some point, but the low depreciation makes it easier to keep. it's obviously a good car even if not the passionate car that the Elise is. I have no crystal ball, but I don't think the sub 50k S1 cars will suffer because of the Emira, quite the opposite possibly. The looks aren't perfect, but they are pretty striking in the flesh and have a solid drivetrain. good cars can bounce along above 30k for some time.
There seems to be a massive hole in the market at the moment caused by lack of cars coming up for sale. I haven't seen a decent evora in the £30 to 40k range for a while and especially not supercharged ones. Seems like either bottom of the market early cars around £28k and then a big jump to some newer cars around £45k and up. Shame, I sold my S2 Exige and was considering an evora but looks like I'm going down a different path instead now.
When I was looking the price difference between NA and Supercharger at low end was £5-8k based on a small number available at that time
I wanted the NA as prefer the power delivery and use ability , cheaper tax, insurance, running etc.
I’ve had 37mpg out of mine on a long run!
Then other things dictating such as 2+2, options and colour! There are some also acquired taste colours inside and out

has anybody quantified these differences?
as for power delivery, on the S1 it's a belt charger and 20% extra.
g'box ratios could make a real difference to feel.
Don't know about quantified but I started off with an early 2010 S and went to an 2013 N/A, both with close ratio gearsas for power delivery, on the S1 it's a belt charger and 20% extra.
g'box ratios could make a real difference to feel.
The S managed about 18-22mpg give or take, had a lot more mid range torque but didn't feel like a lot more top end. It was also sensitive to heat soak, it definitely felt like it was pulling ignition timing on a hot day or after you'd given it a kicking.
The N/A managed about 26-30mpg, the throttle response seemed a bit more crisp on and off the throttle, was a bit flat lower down but sang more sweetly at the top end.
I've also spent a bit of time in some of the more recent charge cooled models and they are the best of both worlds, better throttle response than the early N/A, they pull all the way to the top end and from my more limited experience the fuel consumption seemed a little better than the early S/C
Between the earlier spec cars though a drivers road car and an every day car I personally preferred the N/A, it was sweeter to drive and went further on a tank. If you were going to use it on track regularly though I think the extra poke out of the corners in the S is nicer, and the heat soak isn't as bad if you're constantly moving quickly
