Here's a 2010 with sports and tech pack.

£23k, 87K miles.

Not a huge amount of info on it, if it's not had the clutch done yet then it would be throwing a 3k bill your way in short order.

How do you conclude that re the clutch?
£22k but the MOT lasts a matter of days...

That seems very cheap indeed. Looks a nice car judging from the pics

It’s also a CAT D with no service history. I’d rather you than me, thanks.

Indeed - wouldn't put my money to that!

Well three years after starting this thread Evoras are STILL around £30k

It is s..l..o..w..l..y starting to change IMO, launch cars need to be good to command any more than £30k now and (slightly rough) supercharged cars are starting to show up at £35k. Mileage sensitivity is massive too.

Still must be one of the slowest depreciating cars out there that isn’t a classic or high-end limited edition.

To be honest the market for anything non-mainstream seems to have been that way. I sold my exige about 3 years ago and they now seem about 20-30% higher. Anything non-mainstream Porsche wise seems to have leapt upward. Gallardos I have been watching throughout and they seem to have either headed north or remained static at best.

Crazy days but supplies of cheap finance, new models being increasingly more expensive, a confidence in people buying these cars as not just a frivolity but also a sound investment etc etc. Market is akin to the classic market of the 90’s. It may well be met with a similar ending too..

Sure it will, but when is the question? Whilst interest rates stay low and employment is high I can`t see it changing too much soon...having said that apart from the very special limited edition high end cars, there are quite a few high end overpriced cars now sitting around...a friend of mine called this the period of "denial", which will be followed by a crash...but we cannot see anything changing for a coupe of years, unless Putin does something silly of course?

Just put my 2009 NA up in the classifieds, it's sub-£30k.

Would imagine £20k in notes would at least get him sat at the table.

Well, to the OP, here it is (at last). A £20k Evora:

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lotus-Evora-3-5-2-2-Sports-Pack...

It doesn’t seem to be CAT C/D/S but it does have 120k miles.

At last! I think that car was advertised for a couple of grand more a week or so ago?

That combo of colour and miles is not for me, but the condition looks as good as many with a third of the miles. So many seem tatty inside and the dashboard is often a disaster area of bubbling leather and warped panels. Damn you Lotus for your penny-pinching.

As I think I posted before, house move and other stuff means I can't buy at the moment but I look longingly at the classifieds daily. There is a an absolutely lovely chrome orange car for sale in Bristol at the moment for under £30k and what looks like a nice white one in Northern Ireland which has just popped up too.

PS. Anyone want to buy my Elise? It'll warm and be sunny soon, I promise...

So the answer to the original question is 3 years and 3 months! Hopefully the OP has been saving his pennies ready to pounce!

In truth they don't look too out of sync with the sort of values when this thread was started though, when considering the mileage on both. My white LE edition cost me about £28k 3 or so years back with 32k on the clock so compared to the NI car with 45k on the clock (and a slight paint defect to boot). The orange car doesn't look bad value for a supercharged car but at 53k if you add 20k miles I am not sure how easy it would be to sell north of £25k. Ergo, neither look striking bargains to my mind.

True. The “supercharged” orange IPS in Wakefield is mislabelled too, its actually NA as far as I can tell ( although dvla have it as an S). There is another orange car in Bristol with similar miles but seemingly better condition.

I’m actually the OP by the way. Pennies were saved some time ago but priorites change unfortunately!

Don't get too excited, one car with 120,000 miles on the clock is not going to be worth as much as one with say 30,000 taking the 2009 and 2010 cars on PH for sale which range from £26996 (private advert) to £34000 the average price is.................£30,500

So you would probably get a decent lowish milage well maintained car for Oh yes £30-£32K biggrin so they haven't hit the £20K mark just yet.

I'm planning on an Evora as my next car when my lease ends in 8 months time.

Either an orange, yellow or white Evora S with preferably less than 50,000 miles for £30k would be much appreciated.

Chances?
