I recently offered within a grand of asking price on a car that's been for sale for months and the seller turned it down.

Loads of cars unsold, some getting on for a year which suggests over-valuing. I don't want to start a theological argument but if you check the classifieds Evoras look pretty poor value against Caymans and 997s right now.
Yea a 987.2 Cayman is pretty high on my “want” list. Quite a lot of good cars out there and turnover of stock seems pretty regular. Spec is less easy to decipher admittedly.

A slight preference for 4 seats means I’m drawn to an Evora, but a 987.2 plus a few spare quid in the bank is a pretty compelling alternative, especially as the availability is much better so it’s likely one in the right spec will come up in budget before an Evora.

It’s a bit of a hassle for me to view cars as I’m in NE Scotland, but there are a few Porsche specialists I’m watching now that seem to get regular, good stock so its a bit easier to trust it won’t be a wasted trip.

Not crap, but I agree on soulless, especially anything from the last 10 years or so, they are too anodyne for me. Basically they feel like fast company cars.

Just FYI...my 2009 LE was sold yesterday by Will Blackham. Will was brilliant. I was happy with the deal and he looked after the buyers interests too.
I thought my car was more or less perfect (well, for a ten year old Evora!) but when Will picked the car up he noticed that the AC compressor had gone (common I believe). He dealt with the issue in an extremely professional and helpful manner.
I would highly recommend Will for both buyers and sellers.

Will is local to me and I quite liked the yellow S he had in September but it had gone by the time I got serious. I've got a deposit down now on one at Silverstone. I started off pondering cheap 996's but man maths and the fact I could get hit by a bus tomorrow has landed me a 35k Evora. Happy days.

Damn you, made me look!

76k mile car, no Tech Pack, crashed, Cat S and needing a complete rebuild and still £15k. Looks like the regular £20k Evora is still some way off (thank god, seeing as I have a lovely high-miler up for sale lol)

That 115k car looks terrific and is a positive testament to endurance and quality. If the service history all stacks up, the high mileage might almost be a reassurance for anyone that's going to continue to use the thing regularly.

Whoa! That looks better than many cars asking nearly twice it’s price!

The miles wouldn’t bother me at all with the cosmetic condition that good. Need a pot for wear and tear, probably will be due dampers and clutch soon but even so...bargain.

I know... and last service at Bell & Colvill (Odd given it's current location) would mean you could have good confidence in the current state and maybe even get a report on it's condition from Phil...

frown I'm not in a position to buy but someone somewhere is going to get a great deal. :'(

It's gone already, so someone has rolled the dice on it. I think if they've got a contingency fund to cover potential costs, they could be onto a winner.
