That's a poor increase in power then from the Komotec upgrades. What's the other options then. There is another cai for around £500 I think? What price are manifolds and what would this give you?
Why do you say that Tuscanny?

They offer several kits for the S from 370 to 460 (and the 500 allegedly coming soon).

PS - where are you in Scotland? Mate with a midnight blue Exige S3 was playing in Ayshire last year and ended up running with a Noble for a while.

It's around £1000 for 15bhp ? I think and that's why I am asking if another option like manifolds might bring better bhp for not much more money.

I am in East Lothian? Where are you based?

Glasgow.

Just realised you are talking specifically about the intake upgrade as opposed to their full range of offerings.

My Evora has just had its first service in my ownership. I had put tyres on in and done some small maintenance jobs myself but this was the first time it's gone into a dealer.

Reasonable value, seemingly a thorough job, good service from pleasant people. A good first visit to lotus Silverstone.

I also have been using my motorbike for fun over the last few weeks so the Lotus has been sat idle. Really, really enjoyed the drive down to and then back from Silverstone, it's is a lovely little car :-)

I rate Lotus Silverstone, always had excellent service, but their Audi A4 loan car is well worth avoiding!

? I had it for about 3 weeks the year before last and thought it was perfect for the 1k or so I needed to do in that time!

I am quite happy with the BMW 1 series they have and previously have been given an Elise Club Sport and another sort of Elise, both of which I enjoyed, but couldn't live with as a daily

Hahaha... I was hoping for an Elise or an Exige or something... but the silver A4 it was. Haven't driven an A4 for ages, had less room in the drivers footwell than the Evora

The 1 series auto is quite nice but i agree with the audi... thing is like a cross channel ferry thats powered by mice... It does make getting back into my Evora even more special though!

For the last few weeks I have been monitoring my fuel consumption and am pleasantly surprised to be averaging 27.3mpg.

I mostly drive on Mway's cruising at around 80 and spirited B road runs. A few trips into towns but not many. I tend to drive the car briskly using sports manual mode on the b'roads, sports on motorways and normal drive mode in town.

So, I'm close to 11 months in now. As a fun car, the Evora is still brilliant. It's plenty quick enough, and the handling is more enjoyable the more familiar with it I become.

I am however thinking about getting a convertible for the next few months..... does the Evora go and be replaced by a 911 or F-type (different cars, less fun when in the mood, but maybe I'd use them more)? Or do I add a convertible along side (older 911, slk55, XKR) ?

What do you reckon?

Get and S1 or S2 Elise...they are even more fun than the Evora and when you want to move on you can sell it for more than you paid for it!!...or an Exige V6 roadster...they are a bit like a rabid dog and an awesome experience.

The SLK is a nice convertible to have. I added it to my collection as well as the Evora as the convertible

Hmmmm. I was really thinking about something more day to day, but I do like the exige.

I've been keeping an eye on them a while now, not actually driven one though. And there is the extra overhead of running another car.

Have had a couple of brilliant drives in the Evora this weekend, it's a lovely car which I think I'd regret selling....

F-Type is a beautiful car, particularly in drop top form, but the boot space is woeful. I don't buy cars based on practicality (I had 4 Elises/Exiges!) but if I am buying a GT car I want GT capabilities and the cabrio F-Type boot would be very limiting. I don't mind compromising boot space with something like a Gallardo, but to do so on a non-sports car seems arse about face. At least the Evora swallowed a load of luggage for a few weeks in Europe.

I did have the use of an F-type for a few weeks before finally deciding on the Evora last year. I was left with the view that its a muscle car in that it was fairly big, heavy and brutal. Very different to the tactile / delicate Evora. I did manage a couple of weekends away (It didn't have the spare wheel so at least had some, very limited boot space). Its a very different car and I was clear that it wasn't for me at the time, but every time the sun comes out......

Think I'll make a point of using the Evora lots more over the next few weeks and see how I feel after that.

..... while keeping an eye on autotrader and Ebay etc, anything could happen.
