Hi all, I would just like some thoughts please. For a while I've fancied a series 2 elise, probably around 2003ish. The question is, with so few around do I spend a bit more time and money on a 111s model or not?
Also is the main difference between this and the normal model just more power?

Many thanks,
Ben

The 111s is a great model, nice power, comfortable ride and great fuel economy even when giving it the beans.

There are a few options over the standard car have a look here

Only you can decide that; you really need to drive both and make up your own mind.

For me the 111S was worth the extra, and as it turns out in practice there really seems to be no "extra" in terms of total cost of ownership because residuals have been so strong.

I really enjoyed the time with mine, given the low weight the extra power is noticeable - bit like when you feel a slight sluggishness if you have a big passenger but in reverse.

I think they'll always be a bit desirable, so values should hold or go up - it's completely analogue so the brake and steering feel is unreal compared to anything modern.
