Until recently I used my Evora SR as a daily, even doing nursery drop off on the way to work in the morning for my 2 year old! No problems other than it can be a tricky to park and as mentioned long doors mean getting in/out in smaller car park spaces is a pain (I’m 6’4).

Bought a BMW 130I as a daily now so keeping the Evora as more of a toy.

Until last year I have used 3 Evora`s as daily`s over a period of 5/6 years...first a 2011 S manual, then a 2013 SR IPS, then a 2016 400 manual.
We don`t have kids but the car was used for all journeys including weekly motorway journeys in all weather throughout the year (my experience is they are exceptional in poor road conditions), short trips and European driving holidays including quite a bit of hooning. All three proved totally reliable, although I did Komotec them all to the first level which just improved the engine and the fuel consumption, and the first car had the gear linkage updated.
Fuel consumption range from 10mpg on track to 30mpg on a cruise, with something like mid 20`s with my generally progressive but smooth driving style.
I think the best car was the SR but I preferred the looks of the 400 and the use of an intercooler, but these parts can be added. Rear tyres were the only excess on the first two cars but I think this was due to the suspension settings required to give that fantastic handling balance. The 400 had a harder edge and I did not track it to find out how it really behaved beyond the limit!

Very similar to my thoughts and use, I started with an n/a as daily and now have a 2014 S SR IPS (mine has the 400 front end so I get some of the looks of the 400 which I like, but I get to retain the super comfy recaro seats).

Which Komotec upgrades did you do to the SR IPS? I will do something with mine if I don't swap it for a Ferrari 360 so would be interested to hear your thoughts

All the “S1” cars have Recaros, the change to Sparco came with the Evora 400. 2015?

With the 2011 S car I went 390 then 410...390 was good, the 410 never really seemed to do anything extra until you were doing over 100mph...and it guzzled a load more fuel.
I went down the 390 route with the SR and the 430 route with the 400...both of which worked well.
I have also done the same 390 upgrade on my original Exige S which again just improves the engine response and economy.

If you go down the Ferrari route...good luck, a very different type of car...

Had my Evora S 3 years. Used as a daily although did get an Evoque in the last year too. Great for daily duties and for my little one to go in the back (0-3 years old)

Never missed a beat, kept the service history main dealer and it went through a good few tyres.

Sold 3 years and 20k miles later for exactly what I paid at a main dealer.

Awesome thing.
