If I like the car I am testing on Friday, my S will be for sale, although someone has already expressed interest.
Looks very nice! PM me if you can to share the details? Else we'll get closed down by the mods for being naughty!

I would definitely test drive both a 400 and an S. I found there were quite a few differences that were important to me. Ingress, offset pedals, ride, visibility of instrumentation, and most importantly, the noise. The premium for a 400 was worth it to me but I get why others may think differently.

For me the 400 exhaust was worth the premium alone, I did test drive a 410 and 430 and felt the suspension upgrades on both incrementally improved the cars composure (upgraded bilsteins/ springs on the 410 and 3 way Ohlins on the 430) , if I’d kept the 400 it would have had Ohlins fitted, but I missed having a convertible and am back in an Exige.

Just had a scoot through the classifieds, I hadn’t realised there were good looking evora 400s being advertised under 50k now. Tempting.

Has anyone more up to date on prices seen them changing hands for much lower than that recently?

I’ve been talking to dealers, looks like about £1k movement max on the cheaper 400’s.

Did you decide what to go for in the end? Staying with Lotus?

My potential buyer turned out to be less serious than I thought so I have now advertised my car.

I am 50/50 either a 410 sport which is the rational choice or a 360 Modena which is heart ruling head as I have always wanted a Ferrari. As a sports car the Lotus is better in all ways apart from the engine, the Ferrari V8 is hard to trump.

Hi Blue33, have you tried a 410 with the exhaust valve opened? I went out in a mates 410IPS last year and it sounded fantastic, IMO better then the Ferrari 430 I drove a few years back. BTW we met at Lotus Silverstone a few years back when I had my NA Evora and we were both waiting to,pick a our cars up after servicing. wavey

I have, I drove a 410sport and a 410gt with IPS.

I have bought a Ferrari, hopefully it will be delivered next week.

So to resurrect my old thread. I looked back to see when I started asking Evora questions. Almost a year ago. Well pleasingly I've hopefully got there with a grey 410 sport, deal agreed pick up next week, seat brackets redrilled the next day!

Thanks to all who patiently answered my questions. And if anyone sees a similar post on TLF, that's my twin brother who's strangely bought an identical car biggrin

Well done Bert hope you enjoy your new car. Some photos required when you pick it up. Didn't see your post on TLF?

It's in the market watch section. Will post properly when I have got it and driven it for the first time!
