Should have spanked them 6 or 7, it was a one sided match bar about 15 minutes, that front line and depths is incredible. Once we get Konsa, mings, Torres back we will be fine

Top 8 in the CL, 8th in the PL and only 4 points from top 5 and one of the favourites for the FA Cup now. I'd say you're doing pretty bloody well already? smile

Some lovely touches from Marco Asensio last night. Thinking of the quality we've got available to us now going forward, it's mad how far we've come over the last few years

Yes I was there in row 2 last night. We should have been out of sight by half-time. Good to see Rashford getting stuck in. Can’t remember seeing much of that when wearing a Man Utd or England shirt. Shame we ran out of centre backs though. As for Spurs, you can’t really argue that their injuries are just an excuse: they have missed loads of first teamers. Having said that, we were missing Watkins, Mings, Torres, Onana and Cash and then Konsa went off injured early as well. Should have held on to Diego Carlos until the end of the season.

A fantastic performance, I am loving how Rogers, Tielemans and Ramsey play together, it's a joy to watch.

Rashford looked sharp when he came on, I was worried he might not be match fit but he soon got on his bike. Would be great for him if he threw off all the aggro he's had at Utd and became a legend at Villa.

My mate is a Plymouth Argyle fan, fabulous result for them against Liverpool, am hoping we get them in the next round.

I thought so too but I read somewhere earlier that he's now injured at his new club and will be out for two months, so perhaps not.

Give him time and he'll revert to type. If he can't maintain effort for his country or childhood team I see no reason for him to do so anywhere else?

You would think £300k a week would be sufficient motivation but seems to work opposite and he is too used to the money

I think those toxic fickle Man Utd fans had something to do with his so called lack of effort.
He always put in a good shift when he played for England.

Did he? Certainly not my recollection, and blaming the fans is pretty weak. They turned on him after the lack of effort, not before.

Yes, he did.
And my recollection, He was Englands leading goal scorer in the last World Cup.

He was Man Utd's leading goalscorer in 22/23 as well, and now they are trying to get rid of him. Lots can change in a couple of years, like the fact he didn't even get picked for last last year's Euro's..

As a Villa (and England) fan who is excited by the prospect of an in-form Marcus Rashford playing for us I just want to let him settle in and let his football do the talking.

He looked pretty sharp when he came on on Sunday. Am looking forward to a full appearance ASAP.

Great result, watched on a dodgy stream, always thought Villa would win, Chelsea started time wasting from 15 minutes in and showed no confidence at all, nice to know they'll have a dismal journey home, all they deserve.

Good to prove the Utd supporters and management wrong about Rashford, he just needed some decent coaching, clearly not on offer there, and confidence, hopefully he'll put in more similar performances.

That fifth place, if available, is now looking more and more achievable with the new signings, loans and players coming back from injury, onwards and upwards.

Rashford has looked great so far, especially considering he isn't fully match fit. I can only imagine he will get better and better.

What a crazy week!

Drawing with Liverpool and coming from behind to beat Chelsea in the 90th minute was marvellous, then we get whupped by Palace!

Lots of criticism on the socials last night about Unai’s tactics and starting XI last night, maybe he has one eye on Friday’s FA Cup game so mixed the pack up a little, albeit to a poor result. No disrespect to Palace, they are a good attacking side and were really up for it last night.

Not that he was specifically at fault for any of the three he let in, but every time Robin Olsen plays in goal we get humped. It’s like he’s a bad omen. I dread it when I see him come on as I know what is coming.

Me too. He’s great at picking the ball out of the net. We’re going again on Friday and desperate to have Martinez back in goal. Would love to enjoy a clean sheet.

Job done again last night. Asensio could have had a 10 minute hat-trick after coming on (2 goals + hitting inside of post). Credit to Brugge fans, who kept on singing, often in English. Great to see more previously injured players coming back too. We were seated very high up yesterday:
