Fantastic result. Our penalty was definitely not a penalty, but we should have had one a few minutes later when Maddison got shoved in the box, so VAR got both of them wrong for me.
4 or 5 players tonight were in superb form. 3 more wins needed, chuck in a draw for good measure. If we can manage a win against Watford we'll be miles ahead by the time the other teams kick off at 3pm.

Hope Chilwell watched that and is now worried about getting his place back, as mentioned up thread he's been bloody awful and a disgrace recently. Although there wasn't a great deal of threat from Villa, thought Justin had a good solid game, although was surprised to see his name of the team sheet rather than Fuchs.
Ricardo and Albrighton did a great job on Grealish, it's clear to see how much we miss Ndidi, and Barnes's finishing has improved significantly since he came into the first team.
Great to see us back on form again, it was a timely return with the results below us, and a pleasure to watch.

Getting excited for the return this weekend, be nice to see big Nige in the opposition dugout too, hopefully he doesn't come back to haunt us.
I think Tielemans needed that break, he's played non stop for years, so hopefully he'll come back with a bit of form. Our only issue is RB, as Ricardo is out injured for another couple of months, not sure if we'll play Justin there? I know we tried Hamza in pre season but can't see us using him there in a competitive game.
Only thing I'll miss is being in the pub pre/post game, so I'll have to sink a few at home to make up for it.

We're so so poor, thank God we've got a cushion. We've been poor since December, how the hell are we still in the top 4?! Rodgers not making any subs until the 68th-70th minute, we were crying out for them at the 50th minute.
We'll need another 9 points IMO to guarantee top four, I just can't see where those wins are going to come from.

We are shocking. Could speak for hours but I can't be bothered. Weak squad. Wingers not taking chances. Vardy out of form. Our CBs missing clear cut set piece chances every game. Chilwell laughing and smiling at the end of the game.
Pathetic.
Pathetic.

Furious at that, every single one of us shouted at the TV when we saw that. Then you see Schmeichel immediately after completely dejected, couldn't have been two more opposite reactions from teammates. Woeful is right, I thought we were poor during the week against Brighton, but this afternoon was even worse. To make things worse I actually think Chelsea were there for the taking in the first half, opportunity missed imo.
I thought we'd struggle after I watched them against Man City, but they were nowhere near as good today particularly first half. Easy to point to individual performances but where has it gone so wrong throughout the team.

Bye bye Champions League. Honestly think we could end up in a relegation battle next season, we've been awful for half a season and don't even look like improving.
Why do you think this keeps happening? Isn't that the 4th manager on the trot that has a major impact instantly, only for a total collapse to happen? Driver101 said:

Yeah, Claudio, Shakespeare, Puel and now Rodgers. I honestly don't know what keeps causing it. Rumours are Rodgers wanted to speak to Arsenal in December and the players are aware of it, but that's probably bullst. Not signing a winger in January was absolutely criminal too, boggles my mind that we didn't.
We look so much better with two strikers, Perez in the centre and wingbacks. Palace were on the beach though. Glad Wolves lost to Arsenal. If 5th gets CL, we'll need two more wins IMO. If it doesn't, we'll need 4th and that's probably 3 more wins.
Vardy was absolutely shocking today and ended up scoring two goals, fair play to him! Barnes completely changed the game when he came on.

We were lucky not to be 3-0 down at HT, Kasper kept us in it. But then I thought our first goal was unfairly chalked off. They were the better team overall IMO, but you can't argue with a draw at the Emirates. I think we're gonna be relying on Wolves to drop points and Man Citys CL ban geting upheld in order to play CL football next season.
Our squad needs serious investment, we've got one of the best starting 11s in the league IMO, but we have no options to change games or move to different formations comfortably.
