Would have taken a point before the game, and that’s how it turned out.
Neither side really looked as if they were going to score and it was a fairly “cagey” game.
Need to get 3pts against Bournemouth on Noo Year’s Day

Well, we haven't had too much to shout about in January, but today's result makes up for it.

Who cares if it was an under-strength West Ham side? Three points is three points and we sorely need them just now.

I think the Hammers will be glad to see the back of us this season smile

Further and further away from the bottom lot and now scoring. Good times!

That was my first game of 2018 (been away working) and I chose a good one to get to!
We were poor in the first half but definitely took it to Swansea in the second. Good to see Knocky getting a tap-in and Locadia scoring on his league debut. Shame Murray didn’t get his hat-trick.

As a Toon fan I’m absolutely delighted for Hughton.

He’s showing all what he’s capable of, and we knew it!

Well done.

Yep, and we reversed the League result from Old Trafford in November. So, honours even.
What an atmosphere in the ground tonight! I think everyone realised how important this game was and got behind the team.
It worked!

Well, I think yesterday's performance warrants the first entry for this season.

We had a good close season, with some interesting players being brought into the squad, but it all fell a bit flat last week with the 2-0 defeat at Watford.

It's interesting to note that the press (and the Utd thread) is all about how bad Man Utd were. This is great, it means that we remain "under the radar" and hopefully might be able to pull off some more surprises this season.

I think beating Man City away might be a big ask, though smile

And beat MU without the need for the two new star signings! I know Hughton likes not to rush in new signings so good to still get results without them.

Climbing up that table. ManU to lose by 2 goals and we go above them!

And 100 BHA goals for Murray - slso highest scoring Englishman so far this season in
PL!

Agreed, was a good game this afternoon, but a nervy last twenty minutes as Wolves piled on the pressure to get an equaliser. They threw everything at us, but Matty Ryan saved the day!

Give Wolves their due, they deserved a point after the effort they put in bow
