Yup, barring some freak results.

Was going to be a struggle in a transition season, new manager, new style etc.
I anticipate a much better season next, just need some decent transfers and we shouldn't get close to relegation anytime soon........

That was a good way to end the season, with a win at Burnley. First time since 2013.

Mind you, I thought that Stephens was lucky to get away with that penalty shout in the first half. Can't believe the ref didn't give it.

Let's hope we can achieve "mid-table mediocrity" next season, instead of having to be on the cusp of the bottom three again smile

Well, the transition to Potter from Hughton has been done and stayed up, so that's a success.
Now, Potter has a summer (or part of!) to get more of his type of players in, Lallana looks like he'll be here soon. White returns from Leeds, so that's 2 decent signings and the season only ended yesterday! Alzate should be back from injury too.

Need that elusive striker to replace Murray though!!!

Should do better this coming season I would think (hope!).

What a great few results recently!

Onwards an upwards, can start looking up rather than down...

First time I've felt like posting this season. Excellent performance last night, to follow on from the Spurs win.

Let's hope we can continue the run at Burnley on Saturday and stay above them in the table.

Because with all the chances we created, we failed to put the ball in the net more times than Palace.

Roy Hodgson has always been a very lucky manager imho. He's lucky that football management isn't like medicine or law or many other occupations, where and act of catastrophic negligence can have you struck off, and not be allowed to work in the industry ever again. Because if it was, he'd have been barred from being a manager ever again after the Iceland debacle.

Plus he's an arrogant pr1ck. The press conference after the Iceland game when he had already resigned.... "I'm not sure why I'm here".
Errrr...that'll be because you were on £3m a year to manage England and we've just been humiliated by a nation with the population of Oxford Street on a Saturday.

Why is your team so averse to putting crosses into the box ?
It's almost as if it's beneath you,an old Wenger trait

With Norwich, Palace and Brentford still to come over the next few weeks, if you win those, and perhaps take points off Everton & Arsenal, you guys could easily be top 4 come the end of October.

On paper we should do well but that’s not how we do things. We lost some games last season that we really should win but then go and beat Man City ana Liverpool. We’re not the easiest to predict results for!

8th with 27pt at halfway mark, playing entertaining footy, can’t complain!

Be a bit unusual this season not realistically having to worry about relegation.
