Sterling is off in the summer, rumours coming from his friends state he wants off due to lack of playing time.
Tottenham and Newcastle are supposed to be welcoming him with open arms.

Doesn't surprise me. We're pretty poor at nurturing attacking talent. Shame as the one time I saw him play a few weeks ago he really didn't look out of place.

Nothing to do with him wanting to get away from 2 angry dads then... wink

Sensible post, can't argue with any of that.

Keep it up and the regulars will be calling for your head. wink
There's not much to be argued with in that.

Dalglish was a short - medium term solution to a huge huge problem of a torn apart club, he re ignited us on the pitch last season & has reinstated things behind the scenes. This season it hasn't been as good in the league as expected - anyone comparing this season with Roy though is an idiot though - 12th, playing dire football VS 8th & 2 cup finals & playing generally good football... Please.

I personally don't think this season is as big a write off as others do - from whence we were when he took over & where we realistically should be it's probably not far off - instant success is seldom guaranteed without a Sheikh.

Dalglish may be able to get us up to challenging the top 3/4 given another season, but I don't think he has it in him in the champions league.

So either give him another year - which I think would be bring a huge improvement on this year, there's some team in that squad who are, just Lucas & 1 or 2 attacking players away from being seriously good.

Or bring in a Rafaesque tactician to prepare us for the champs league.

Oh & as for Sterling, if a 17 yr old, who has obvious talent but is very raw is demanding game time or he's off at a club the size of Liverpool then let him sod off.

Or as more likely he misses London/ this is all bullst made up/ then let it be dealt with.

There is absolutely nothing to suggest that to be likely though is there? In fact if you were to think Dalglish is capable of challenging top 3/4 next season, I'd argue that a better manager would have us competing for the title. Of course the hard truth is that based on what we've seen neither is likely.

He has got his team 6 points off of Liverpool this season though

So he has got some things right
Not forgetting the fact he has picked up the same number of wins at Anfield in 2012 as KD.

We could still catch Tottenham on that table.

Why only them?

For you guys banging on about "it doesn't matter how we play - goals matter", the same attitude must be applied to tables like the above. In which case Suarez must shoulder some of the blame too, for all his creativity and superb play, he's only banged it in the back of the net 8 times this season. Or did you deliberately just pick out KK/DC signings - ie. the same people you've been relentlessly banging on about for the last 9 months.

For me the ONLY problem has been finishing, from both midfield and our strikers. In fact I don't think I've read an article, or watched a pundit on a sports programme that hasn't said that "despite dominating games, Liverpool didn't take their chances".

Because whatever the emotions may say, it is a game run on stats. Tackles completed, assists, pass completion, goals, goal difference, wins, etc, etc. If you could compare the top teams, and go lower, their success is probably visible within the stats.

You say the problem has been finishing. So why is that? Poor 'assists', poor strike attempts? Walking under ladders?

But most of the KK/DC signings were signed because of 'stats'. Between Henders and Downing we had two people that were in the top ten of creating most assists and crosses, etc last season. But when some of us cited that as decent enough reasons to sign them, certain other people simply said that the stats don't show everything. So it seems like you guys are saying "look at the stats" when it suits you, but when it doesn't - "the stats don't tell the whole story".

Huh?? Poor finishing is down to poor finishing. We've had the crosses, we've got into the spaces and positions to score, we've just not been able to hit the back of the net.

just responding to what you said. I haven't commented previously. If in a top team the stats are as Raja posted, then that does need to be looked at, emotions aside. If you have had the chances, but haven't taken them, then that too needs to be looked at. This is not in dispute.

That shirt would make it look like Agger and Skrtel were wearing sleeveless t-shirts.

So, my little Norwich welcome you lot to Carrow Road this weekend for a pretty meaningless encounter. I know you're not in the best of form, but I can't help think you are due to smash some team 4-0 or 5-0 or something like that. We were very poor against Blackburn, and I suspect, now we are safe, we may get a bit of a hiding.
