No chance he leave them ever, for a competitive league anyway, maybe USA or Qatar.

I think the issue is that he had a term which said he could leave at the end of the season which I presume was written as June

-That was obviously delayed because of covid

-He says the President verbally told him he could still leave at the end of the season regardless of what the contract said because of Covid

-When he wanted to leave, the president has turned back on his word

- i expect he didn't put a transfer request in on the June date because it would have caused a drama to do it before the end of the season

Think he'll just go straight back to his boyhood club now, or maybe do a year or two in the US.

With a 95% drop in wages...

no one in the USA or S.America can afford him, unless he drops his wages.

I think he is past it anyway but he may as well milk it while he can

Past it in that his transfer request was front page news around the world and he would be pretty much walk straight into any team on the planet?

Not bad for a player who's past it hehe

Against Bayern Munich he was about as effective as a daffodil, that wont change next season against the top sides - sure he will command rag headlines, what else would one expect but it doesn't alter the fact he is past his glory days and will end his career having done nothing for his country.

Messi has always lived under the shadow of Ronaldo.

He's still under that shadow even though Ronaldo's in Torino.

There’s no way Messi would make a significant impact in the Premiere League.

He’s a great player but wouldn’t shine, of course it’s only an opinion as we will never know.

He’s going nowhere.

Just as Ronaldo has lived under the shadow of Maradona, Ronaldo, Zidane etc.

Barca were still in the Champions League and competing for (top of?) La Liga at that point

So Messi does shine in the best/2nd best (depending on bias) competition in the world, but wouldn't in the best/2nd best ?

So Aguero does shine in the EPL, but the better version of Aguero, the best footballer in the world wouldn't ?

That doesn't really make sence does it.

Aka epic EPL bias.

You sure do spout bks in whatever thread you post A6. Are you allowed on your own team's thread yet?

Presumably he'll now be on more than £1 million a week, given that he was on £900k before. Hope he remembers to tell his accountant.

hopefully he does his ligaments after the first game - his career at Barca is over, even if he is 'stayin'

He is old and loaded is he expecting teams to go out wiping his arse and paying him £1M a week for his services.

After the first game ? As in on the way out to the car or something ?

Classy.

Tiresome, just as it would be if someone hoped Ronaldo would do the same. All this one side or the other bks is best left in the playground.

Koeman already dropping digs about Messi in the media.

Get the impression Messi is now marking time until he can leave for one last challenge/mega pay day.
