Alan Pardew played in that game for us. We agreed to play to help Uefa make up the numbers & the team consisted of kids & loaners, specifically:Chris Day, Steven Carr, owen Coll, Mark Newson*, Jamie Clapham, Paul Byrne* (Simon Wormull), Kevin Watson, Alan Pardew, Spencer (Gary Sampson), Sean Slade (Paul Mahorn), Andy Turner.* = Loan player. It was played at the Goldstone ground. Technically our greatest defeat in a competitive match, but...really, not really. Dragging stuff like that up does lead one to point out the Arse were once thumped in the league 8-0 by Loughbrough. 1896, but hey, it's all about laughing at the opposition right?
After the last few weeks it's pretty satisfying being a Arsenal fan.
I'm quite impressed with the change in attitude and the apparent desire to keep playing at a higher intensity level rather than having odd bursts of speed/attacking which quickly turns to nothing.
I do hope we can keep this run going and not burn ourselves out by April when we have Man City and Chelski visiting the Emirates!

The nice thing is the fixture list is actually pretty good....if City beat Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League they'll have a Europa League game three days before the Arsenal fixture Fingers crossed mickk said:
Can you imagine what it'll be like if when we beat you to third position.
To be fair, the ball is thoroughly in your court regarding that one. Despite us being on a decent run i think you have a more favourable run in plus you are still that point ahead. I suspect the Chavs game will be massive for you though. Lose that and it could be a serious collapse as opposed to a wobble which is all it is just now.
Given where we were a few months back it is nice keeping you honest for that 3rd spot though. Go back to September and the words Arsenal and relegation were even being used in the same sentence.
According to a scientific survey among football fans Rosicky is viewed as a better player than Modric.
If only he was consistently better.
If only he was consistently better.
