Black can man said:
Utd, Chelsea & City could afford him no problems,so could Monaco, PSG& a couple of russian sides too.

I'm a little surprised you seem to be the only runners too,
Plus Juve(?) and Bayern and possibly one of the Milan clubs...?

Sure but at all of those clubs he's not going to be first choice striker, having been second or third choice at RM that's probably a significant factor.

Sky Sports reported has said Fellaini's release clause has been activated http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedd... hopefully it's true.
Sky said two weeks ago Arsenal would announce a major signing within 48 hours!

He's clearly a quality player, just not sure he's a Wenger signing.

Just the type of midfielder we need to sign in my opinion. Quality player. I imagine we'll be playing him in defensive midfield.

I know Tom Watt will be happy. He's been going on about signing Fellaini all season.

yes one of the best player performances I've seen at the Emirates from the opposing side.

He is precisely what we need in our midfield. Get him and our midfield will be truely world class.

Higuain's brother and agent Nicolas quoted today saying that a deal is close , or words more or less to that effect.

Tevez due to have a medical at Juventus shortly.

Higuain's a world class player, young enough at 25 but experienced at the very top level and no stranger to big pressure games so for me there's no question of him adapting, he's got the talent and the mentality plus he has arguably already proved himself at a higher level anyway so it's not even a question (for me).

As for the 'knock down' price- a fee of £23-25 million, and wages of 130,000-140,000 per week reported, that's £48 million+ over the duration of a 4 year contract. Could not be further from knock down.

What's his Champions League record?

8 goals in 48 appearances, with 4 assists. So hardly good.

But to be fair Chad said higher level, not highest.

Ah...you mean we're cherry-picking our higher levels to suit our view point. Gotcha.

Not really.

Highest - Champions League
Higher - Top leagues of Europe

That's the way I see it conventionally anyway, but it is subjective.

Some people's highest would include the top leagues as well as the CL, whilst some people would say higher levels include some leagues (people may not class La Liga as higher/highest due to there only being two teams in it in reality).

Does it really matter?

You're out to provoke a reaction probably because your bored and people are getting all defensive about a player that may not even sign us.

At present totally pointless from both sides.

Accoring to Sky Bet Arsenal are favourites to sign Rooney, Fellaini and Cesar and they've stopped taking bets on Higuain.

Makes a change from random French Ligue 1 players you've never heard of.

Can't see us signing Rooney. I have a feeling he will stay at MU. Not someone I'd like to see us sign either.

Besides, we've signed our token young French player already, Sonogo! smile

I would like to hear concrete news on signings next week. The window opens on Monday and we've announced nothing yet. Either deals have been concluded but not yet announced or once again we find ourselves behind the curve as the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City have already made significant additions to their squads.
