cant see the link but is Rooney's goal against Newcastle from a few years ago in there? he was gobbing off to the referee about an earlier decision as United go forwards then, the ball comes to him and he just volleys it from 30 yards past Shay Given.

Some damned impressive goals but sheer luck or skill? I mean if they tried some of those shots 10 times in a row would they have failed 9 times?
I get the impression Tiss could have done it time and time again, great player.
When Le Tiss scored from a free kick being rolled back to him, flicking it up in the air and then hammering it into the net, the boss at the time did say that he did it 9 times out of 10 in training. Think it was against Wimbledon, but it´s a cracking goal
Awesome! I'm not a big football fan but I do like to see skill on the pitch.

There was quite a good one on Sunday, IIRC? Round the Tottenham defence, facing the wrong way, and into the goal?

Best goal? Bugger thats a difficult choice. The problem with the votes is that there will be a hint of bias.

There are some superb efforts. I love Shearer's becuase its just one of those volleys that you just catch perfect and you get so much power that you just cannot generate normally. Similar with Yeboahs. Cantona's is another brilliant bit of tekkers, likewise with Rooney's. Bergkamps is a brilliant piece of individual skill that hasn't been seen for a long while. I'm sure i've seen Di Canio's win an award for this type of thing before. Another great goal. The first Le tiss goal is the better of his 2 imo.

I think personally my top 3 would be

1. Rooney, just because of the perfect technique of such a hard skill, the type of game it was in and the power generated. That really is a sensational goal.
2. Bergkamp, at the time, simply unbeleivable that someone would try and successfully pull off something like that against a fellow professional.
3. would be a tie between Shearer and Yeboah. Nothing better as a player than the perfect connection on a volley and seeing it hit the back of the net.

Greatest game... has to be Liverpool v Newcastle

Celebration... Klinsmann, everybody was doing that. Ketsbaia, I remember that but wtf? Best celebration? He was mental.

Save, difficult to choose really, most are pretty similar. I'll leave that..

Team
Schmeuchel
G Neville
Adams
Vidic
A Cole
Ronaldo
Keane
Gerrard
Giggs
Henry
Shearer

Good thread..

The selection of right backs is quite poor imho. None in there really deserve to be included with the other 10 players I have selected.

I feel I must add these 2 efforts, though they are from an my little unfashionable Norwich, don't let that put you off though...

I was there for that 2nd link. I sat next to my mate and said, he's shaping to hit this, whats he... fkING GET IN THERE!!!!

There are literally hundreds of goals that could be featured in the top 10. Each supporter has a screamer goal from their clubs time in the prem. I forgotten that Edman goal, what a strike.

Aye - a great goal indeed.

Just a shame it was in the FA Cup and not the Premiership wink
