So...we're looking for a volunteer.

You know, if somebody could 'sort' the compilation of the table in an excel format from the points accrued on a given matchday then the rest is a piece of cake.

Come on chaps, I was able to create the formula required to calculate each persons points but was unable to go to the next stage with an auto-update of a table.

Surely there's a IT bod out there who can work something out?

I'd take it over for next season myself if this issue could be addressed but it's just too labour intensive whilst it's missing this final stage.

My spreadsheet already calculates the points and adds them to the table; all you have to do is sort the table into points order.

If there are any spreadsheet experts out there, i'm sure it could be improved. If anyone wants to see the spreadsheet, PM me and I will send it across for you to tinker.

Well thats one step forward fella thumbup

OD: Does your spreadsheet also add to the cumulative number of games played (predicted) and the (cumm.) number of Correct Results and Correct Scores?

Surely it's simple to sort by points column in a macro (or add it on to the existing macro?)

Can you have a look at it and see what you can do?

Whilst we've got to be careful that we don't create a 'dogs dinner' of a spreadsheet thats been added to by all and sundry over the years until its so unweildy and unnecessarily complicated that it could be outdone by someone with a pencil and paper it would need to be more automated than it was for me to get involved in it again.

The real/unavoidable work involved in doing it each week should be:

Publishing the fixtures
Importing the forecasts from PH
Recording who's used their Gizmo
Entering the Actual scores each matchday
Publishing the revised/updated table on PH

Everything else should/could be automated.

Email it over chum, I'll take a look this evening. I seem to remember Keyser was a bit of a stats monkey as well.

Yes...that bit is...but sadly thats not the only column in the table that needs updating, there's also:

Cummulative Correct Scores
Cummulative Correct Results

Additionally there also needs to be some cross-casting to make sure that:

Cummulative Correct Scores + Cummulative Correct Results = Cummulative Points

...and not just 'Add last weeks cummulative points total to this weeks points earned'

If ever those 2 calcs don't agree it'll be a bh to discover which is right.
