What chip? You're the one who reckoned it was us and two others who'd be fighting relegation after just missing out on automatic promotion the season before, then laughably suggested it a starting point for a debate. A debate about what, who was the biggest wind up merchant? I'll concede that one, you win hands down.
Bump, as the EFL kicks off again today.
We've made ten new signings including one or two that look decent in pre season up front (Korrey Smith ex West Ham, and Diallang Jayeisemi on loan from Norwich). Results have been good although PSF's are notoriously useless at predicting how a season will go. Tom James, our decent right back, was all set to join WBA in the week but failed his medical / failed to agree terms, depending on who you believe.
Today, off to Bury. I won't be going - once upon a time, I would have but the club is in a deep furrow now and appears to be just waiting for the luck to run out one season and we'll return to the Conference once more. The club is run really poorly with little or no investment and quite a divided fan base. Will be a sad day for sure, and if we did drop as the bookies are predicting, we'd not get back up again, that's for sure. We have got one thing to look forward to, we face Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup the week after next, live on Sky.
Good luck to everyone on this thread whoever you support.

Following the mighty Argyle for another year begins today.
1738 away tickets sold for Walsall, you're only here for the Argyle!
Good luck everyone except our opponents (obvs) and Exeter and Franchise Utd.
I have a good feeling about this season - no mention of the Yeovil friendly though!1738 away tickets sold for Walsall, you're only here for the Argyle!

Mate, losing to a bunch of carrot farmers from Somerset was part of Derek Adams piss boiling master plan.
For the last few seasons we have had a plan, which has been refreshing compared to the 'alt-badge' years. We were so close to fking with the plan and letting him go at the start of last season though. Cry God for Harry, England and Plymouth Argyle!
Blackpool still have Oyston as owner so as in recent years I'll not be attending games.
Another high turnover of players over the summer. I think I've just seen a post on Twitter that it is 8 debutants in today's team. Should be fun trying to follow the game on the radio.
Have fun guys watching your teams.

Well, she had a fun day out. Sadly things did not really go to plan, as everyone was flat out with being 1st home game of the season. Any other week would have been fine! She was going to check out the trophy cabinet up close, but the key holder was tied up with press, and the office was just manic, so just left them to it.
Apologies for the quality crapness .... taken on my mobile.
Clockwise from top left ..... CEO Erik Samuelson, Assistant Manager Neil Cox, Kinky Junior next to his own photo (also featuring Liam the Leprechaun), a very happy Mrs Ted, as she's got a good view of all those fit blokes (her words, not mine), and finally Ivor Heller (commercial director and the guy who started it all, and a hero to us all) with Neil Ardley (team manager, 3rd longest serving manager in the whole footy league, and all round top bloke)
For the record, we drew 0-0 with Coventry, although we really should have won it!

Football fans in the past used to always make jokes about their clubs under-reporting the actual crowd size to avoid VAT etc.
Blackpool now do the opposite and over report.
The stand opposite the TV cameras was the temporary stand we built when we got promoted to the Prem in 2010 (it replaced the previous temporary stand that had been used for about 10yrs). It only had planning permission for 5 years, so hasn't housed any fans for a few years, not that its needed.

Not sure if anyone has seen the new Currys/PC World Christmas TV ad
Those eagle-eyed amongst us might notice the score on the football game they show on the TV .........
Apparently the marketing exec is a Dons supporter
Suffice to say, the Franchise supporters are all demanding to boycott them, and go to John Lewis instead!
Oh, and today we're at home to Shrewsbury. So I guess another 3 points dropped and that will make it 12 straight losses (or somesuch)

Yeah, I was being slightly sarcastic You could say I lot count after 6!So demoralising though. Generally speaking we had all of the game today, but conceded to 2 set pieces.
IIRC early September was the last time we scored 1st in a game.
