Always the way.

Most fans th8nk rhe club only operates on a Saturday. And then only every other week! They have no idea how much is required to run a sports club, whether that be football, rugby, basketball or whatever. They just turn up each week and demand a win.
On the Peter Crouch programme about Dulwich Hamlet it was mentioned that it costs them £600k to operate for a season. That’s in conference south!!

My local non league team (league below Dulwich) is costing the Chairman £20k a month. That's on top of the income generated from bar sales, ABBA nights, gate receipts, etc. And all the groundsman and stewards are volunteers as well.

I used to deal with a couple of clients who where both chair of the same local team at some point. They subbed the wages at a cost of about £5-600 a week...

Some of the players....getting £100 a game, used to roll around town like they were premier league gods laugh they used to tell everyone how minted the chairs were "multi millionaires" we were told and expect the beers to be free after a game too...

These poor chairmen felt like they had to live up to it and spent tens of thousands on the club over a number of years and neither of these guys were millionaires either...expensive hobby....

Clubs are generally basket cases.

Ipswich must be similar, but we do have very savvy owners now.....the investment at the club appears to be very careful and considered, apprecaite we're big hitters in the league though and many smaller teams must hate us.

Covered Bristol Rovers v Exeter City last night, wow, what an advert for League One football.

City take an early lead with a superb finish from Sam Nombe and double their advantage in first half stoppage time via Archie Collins.

Joey Barton reacts by making three half time changes and Aaron Collins (one of the best L1 players out there) hammers home on 57. Josh Coburn (what a loan signing he's proved to be!) equalises on 64 from Collins' cross before that man Collins goes on a mazy run and is brought down in the box for a penalty. Scott Sinclair sweeps home the spot kick for 3-2.

Exeter equalise again on 84 through Dieng then win it after a keeper error on 90+2 sees Nombe make it 4-3.

Full house at the Mem, sold out away end full of noisy Grecians, wintry conditions and a night game. It was bloody wonderful to be there.

Sold out away end? Must be a first for Exeter City. They can't even do that against Argyle.

Mentioning Argyle and the news announcement of Pele's death. I was there in 1973!

I think not. And it is all in one place and not split across a corner.

Horrible place to go to, Bristol Rovers.

It was split across a corner last night; some in the end of the stand behind the goal and the majority to their right hand side on the open terrace.

Colchester excelled themselves today .
I'm watching final score and it's 0-0 right to the end .
but not the end ,at 90 minutes the team left the field ,downed tools or something and let 2 in ,on 93 and 96 minutes .
Recently they had climbed away from the trap door to National league but they also had played quite a few more games than everybody else in L2 ,they are now catching up and if they "drop the ball" could see them back in the doo doo .

I'm not watching the EFL highlights show......nono

Sounds like us. Go 1-0 up. Get to half time. A totally different team come out for the 2nd half, seemingly unable to play, unable to defend and conceed a sloppy goal. Make some subs which makes it even worse. Conceed one or 2 more.

Common trend since Christmas, with 8 points from 33.

IMHO, genuinely the worst squad we've ever had.

Welcome to Wimbledon.

Yeah ,the worst team in Essex lost again , I'm also miffed off that Final Score went in the bin along with all the other normal football stuff due to the GL affair .

On a positive note ... Your appointment of Ben Garner should be good news, He turned us around when we didn't have a pot to piss in so hope on the horizon wavey
