Oh dear, the Plumber of Essex won't be happy you edged this game due to the referee.

You're right, if it weren't for that pen, Wolves would have come back into it.

A first for me last night; my son took me to football. Bought the tickets himself with his own money for my birthday.

I'd love to know what the club shop takings are in there. He bought the new shirt with the Euro star and the CL trophy on the sleeve...£57. There's about 20 tills all going like the clappers and you can here the staff saying "that'll be £322.90 please...that's £192.20 please" constantly.

I would guess the annual turnover of the club shop probably exceeds the annual turnover of a few Championship clubs!
It's bundles isn't it, just imagine what the bigger clubs take

Yet another ex Porto player. I find it absolutely astonishing that Porto seem to have an unerring ability to find talent and bring it on, before selling on to other, bigger clubs. Why can't we get in on the ground floor here? What are our scouts not doing that Porto's are?

Agreed.

Man U have got club shops in Dublin, the Far East and Old Trafford. They must be absolutely raking it in.

Even the Spuds portakabin must sell the odd shirt. hehe

6-0 was a good result and it was great for the younger players to get pitch time but I've still got a bad feeling about Saturday. Arsenal have come into form and now look like they have found the net and are solid at the back. I still think we are top heavy with attacking players who don't track back, and ironically it could be our attacking play that might be a problem if we don't defend as a unit.

so he has been done for same offence as suarez, but has only got 4 game ban and £220,000 fine instead of 8 game ban and £40,000 fine.

and john terry was found not guilty in a court of law but the fa find him guilty.

what a massive fk up by the FA again!

Absolutely. He should either be not guilty, or guilty with the same punishment as Suarez. Just baffling?

I don't get it though, this shambles went to court, and they found JT not guilty, how can the FA find him guilty? Since when were they above the courts?

Well, I get it I think. There is no doubt that JT used words that were offensive. He's admitted that, and that's why he's been given the ban and the fine.

The FA were in a position where they had to do something, and they've done it. Look on the bright side, it could have been a lot worse. Why it has taken a year to sort this out is something that ought to be looked at.

Smacks of racism to me, the FA inflict a worse punishment on an Hispanic that a white man. Maybe Suarez should consult his lawyer re suing the FA. After all, they FA is nothing more than a jumped up trade association, and they're not above the law.

Plent of footballers use offensive words, where are ther bans? He wasn't racist as he was found not guilty by the court

There is a different burden of proof though between a criminal action, and a civil one..........

Wow, I never saw today's performance coming. I feared for us today, but from the off we were up for it. The only time we looked under threat was in the 3 mins between their equaliser and half time.

Mikel seems to come in for a lot of stick but he was superb today. Even his shot on goal stayed in the ground, al be it in the top tier.

All in all, a great performance and result.
