Try the Spud thread the other night!

At least no-one here has told anyone to fk off. But credit to you Mart, you did deal with that immaturity by deleting it.

C'mon Just, why do you do it? Does it excite you? I'm genuinely interested. And don't give me some cock and bull story about it being "banter".
Look, let's just get a few things straight.

Liverpool fans troll other teams threads.
Other teams troll the Liverpool thread.

Therefore neither team's fans have grounds to grumble about WUM's and trolls from the other as you're as bad as each other.

So why not accept the banter and move on instead of indulging in yet more navel gazing? Why does it matter why other fans come on here for the banter? There are good contributors from either side on each other's threads; it's just spoilt by the people who hurl abuse at each other. That, and the "mob mentality" that exists when a lone opposition fan comes on here and you rally round like flies round st (see last night when four posters rounded on JC). If you think "the banter" crosses the line, report the thread with a valid reason and it will be dealt with.

Honestly, I have never seen such whinging before. The option is that I'll just start deleting posts and deal with it that way....maybe that will stop the bandwith bandits!

So the LFC fans who don't troll other team's threads have no grounds to complain about trolls on here?

And I'm not allowed to ask why trolls/wums/banter seekers behave in a certain way?

Furthermore, why would I report or whinge about banal wummery when it neither offends nor irritates me?

No, but since it goes on with a number of contributors to this thread, you should not be surprised when some of it comes back here. Horniesta is a bit rich complaining about immaturity when he posts a wumming effort on a very slim Telegraph article about one of our players then expresses surprise when it comes on top as a direct result. If you contained some of your own peripatetic followers, you might find it being reciprocated.

The Mods have banned all the naughty boys. Johnxjc73738647437838738893829238282828829290207473 was my favourite, he could argue with himself

What would help is if you read my post that stated that included LFC fans trolling other threads.

Thanks for the chat chaps, but I'm out. I feel Smart's deletey finger hovering as I type. yikes

Besides, I'm itching to nip over to Chelsea to find out whose turn it is to be next week's manager.

Granted a few of the regular posters do troll other team's threads but there are some of us who don't. So if we want to grumble about WUMs and Trolls, I think its perfectly legit to do so.

An "ignore poster" function in here would be wonderful and save so much time skipping crap.

Phil, it wasn't really a comment aimed at you (or anyone else who doesn't troll) specifically even though I quoted you. It was more of a snowball effect; certain posters whinge about opposition fans trolling then troll themselves then others come on to back their mates, it just gets tiresome and derails the thread.

Which leads me to point two. Why do you need to know why trolls/wums/banter seekers behave? Just accept that they are wired up differently to you and leave it...otherwise the thread goes the same way as I've just explained.

This is a thread about Liverpool FC. It can be commented on by Liverpool fans, Tottenham fans, Man United fans and even the odd Yeovil Town fan. Let's keep it that way and if anyone is that desperate to know why trolls troll, wum's wum and banter seekers, er, seek banter, then start a new thread in The Lounge. That way, it will keep this thread free to discuss one of the best sides in Liverpool.

Thank you!

Do you know what? I dont care if people come here to troll, it breaks up the boredom that often occurs during the Champions League nights...
