Not quite sure what's going on with some of what Meulensteen says. Maybe he's picked up a few of Fergie's old mind game habits, although he should perhaps pick more relevant targets. First the Ravel Morrison wants to play for Fulham comment, and now he's said AC Milan want Taarabt, but QPR have no idea. Possibly just trying to create a Fulham story that doesn't involve a nil and a big number.

A quiet transfer window so far, hope something comes of the Mitroglou approach.

You have to ask why would a player of any merit want to play / sign for Fulham .The results are alarming enough and what with the opposition only having to score first to gain the win we have the look a doomed side.
I had hoped the days of the manager muttering nonesense had passed , not so it seems.

Seems like it WILL be a busy transfer window. Hammers apparently trying to scupper the Greek deal! Berbatov to Monaco, Holtby in on loan, Tunnicliffe from ManUtd and more!

Sadly I think we are in deep trouble now. Only plus points were Holtby and Kvist from yesterdays game.

Let's be optimistic, Sunderland and Palace looked doomed a few weeks ago as did The Hammers, what worries me is the amount of goals we're conceding with no reply.

I said to my lad as I put him to bed (before the replay kick off) that I'd possibly consider relegation if we won the cup.

What a shambles that was! I was pretty much cheering on United by the end. ManUtd, Chelsea and Liverpool are 3 of the next four games in the league.

Not good. A few years ago I wondered how Villa stayed in the league playing such terrible football, now it's Fulham who have become a laughing stock.

Wow, truly bonkers knee jerk action going on there wobble The team is the problem, not the manager.

OK, the performance against the Blades was woeful, but none of the new signings could play in that game.
Seems a really strange decision to sack Meulensteen now after backing him in the transfer window.

Sad to see the meltdown going on at Fulham since Al Fayed left. I see Curbishley and Wilkins have also been given their marching orders now. They were only drafted in about a month ago! Sorry to say this but Fulham could struggle to get back up next season, the championship is a tough place these days and unless you get the spirit of those Keeghan and Tigana days back I fear for Fulham.

I remember a quote from yesteryear when Fulham were relegated from the 1 st division, in those days the banners or flags of the other clubs were displayed at the ground. A spokesman , maybe it was T. Trinder , quipped , : we won't be displaying the flags of the other second division clubs because we'll only be in this division one season .....true that , they're were relegated to the third.
I think that was 1967 .

Loosely speaking we need 20 points from the remaining games to have a chance of survival . I'm in the positive camp and say yes ..we will survive .

I agree, smacks of panic and certainly not cheap with all the severance payments. However, what price staying in the premier league? Looks unlikely, but if they can pull it off, the money 'wasted' will be money well spent.

So this is it folks , all the blah blah and hype aside , tonight's the night ( it's an eleven o'clock pm kick off for me ) no live feed so I'll be tracking the events via a live written report probably on Yahoo .

Predictions , I'm going to defy the bookies and go for an away win , the dawn of a new inspired confidence which will propel FFC to salvation !

Typical MOTD. Fulham is the last game of the show. It used to be ordered on number of goals. But presumably Chelsea's 1-0 over Everton was far more important than a 1-1 draw at the foot of the table.

AND, since it was the last game the highlights were less than stellar. Didn't show the opening few mins miss for example. I don't blame Stekelenburg. Did great for majority of the game. A minor fumble, whilst annoying, is not the sort of calamity as Joe hart makes regularly.

I am probably in a minority but Felix (or Penfold as he's already been dubbed biggrin ) could well save us! They played much better and I like what Sidwell said afterwards.

Wont be easy though

Such small margins separate success from failure , Stekelenburg looks a class act and that last attempt to claw the ball away from the goal line was oh so close to success !

I'm still optimistic that we can avoid the dreaded drop, I've only seen edited highlights on youtube but the team looked eager and more confident . A west London derby awaits against the other team from Fulham , prediction , sure why not .

No draw and a home win .

I'm trying to be optimistic but the facts are plain as the bugle on your face , the Fulham midfield looked completely drained after 50 plus minutes , Parker and Sidwell were in effect absent .

I showed my lad highlights of the great escape in 07/08 on Youtube last night. Need something similar to pull off the unlikely.
