Wonder when Hazard will book his plane ticket to Madrid? Guess he's flicking through Skyscanner as we speak...
Whilst I think he's style of play would endear himself to Madrid fans, they need goals, and Hazard isn't that man. Someone like Neymar/Mbappe might be who they look for,Challo said:

I thought he was only on loan from Utd?
Would have been good to end his career at United, but you can see why he has gone to Juve. Guaranteed to win the Serie A, and decent chance at another champions league title. Plus I presume he wants to prove himself playing in another league.

1) he’s on record as saying he didn’t want to live there again with the inclement weather. Turin might be seven months of great clear skies and then five months of ski season in the nearby mountains, but grey skies and rain doesn’t work for many players. Cheshire vs Piedmont? Come on.
2) Mourinho. He’s not interested in playing for him again. Across the clasicos fought in 2012, there were incidents between the pair that ultimately meant Mourinho would find out what player power was. Mourinho had screamed at him in the changing rooms after one game vs Barca. Ronaldo went to the press and called him an SOB. In the next clasico, Ronaldo galvanised - visibly - the rest of the team on the pitch to ignore Mourinho’s tactics and led them to the win. Jorge Mendes then got them to reconcile as he’s both their agent. Then when Mourinho was starting to run out of friends at Madrid, he basically asked Ronaldo to publically back him, which he did. But then soon enough, Mourinho screamed at him mid-game, he didn’t like it.....Mourinho soon gone.
Ronaldo was not interested in going back to Man U. Most of this is public knowledge though....I have no idea why people like the rag journos speculate over stuff that if worked through logically just ain’t going to happen.

he has been very shrewd imho.
at 33 and very fit he can probably see himself doing a Luis Figo and whilst the Spanish league isn't th ePremier league in terms of intensity Italy is slower than Spain, he's probably added +1 maybe +2 seasons by moving to Italy.
I'm sure he'll fit right in!

It highlights how st it all is really. Both Ronaldo and Messi are great players and the best around today.
I don't know the ages of posters on this thread but I think some may have forgotten or not be aware of just how phenomenal the great Diego Maradona was,for me the best ever by a long long way.
Maradona played in an era with no protection from referees ,I remember watching him in the 1986 World Cup group games and he was kicked all over but still performed he was a tough little player ,today they wouldn't last 45 minutes of what he took.
He also won a the 86 World Cup with a good side but not a great one he alone carried them and for me was the most amazing sporting feat I've witnessed.
He gets a bad name here because his handball incident, but his second goal against England was the best I've ever seen without a doubt.
Maradona also went to Napoli and won the league title with an average team scoring most of their goals along the way.
Ronaldo and Messi are superb technical athletes but Diego Maradona was a true footballing genius who delivered when the game was harder and without the world class teammates that others have today.

From what i can see Maradona scored 81 goals in 8 seasons, over 180 games, at Napoli.
If that were half then they'd win nothin.
An amazing player but his stats look daft next to Ronaldos.
Okay let's put it in context I was referring to the single season they won the championship and he scored a lot of those goals not as an out and out striker, but I think you were been somewhat obtuse. You also ignored the other points about having no protection from referees and lack of World class players around him.If that were half then they'd win nothin.

Apols for the obtuse and I agree about the lack of protection.Football has changed in that respect.
It's also much more competitive, the players are fitter, faster, stronger and have to perform more consistently at a higher level as their are players looking to get on the team.
I can't think of any area other than the likelihood of being fouled that a current player finds it easier than 30 years ago.
Or are you saying the games not moved on?

The game has changed of course.
Players are physically larger now and stronger so have less ground to cover over the course of a match. They also cover that ground in softer more comfortable boots and on near perfect football pitches, playing with a softer ,lighter ball, with numerous cameras monitoring their every move. They all have a strict diet and on tap medical staff, every aspect of their lives are sorted by a management team so they can focus on the task in hand, this all makes it easier to perform than the player of thirty years ago.
Do you remember some of the pitches from the eighties and nineties, and some of the nutters who played back then? I do and many players of today would struggle to last long.
