This on paper is not a game we should win and the result proved that especially playing Utd with the new manager bounce but the refereeing today left a lot to be desired. Ake wrestled to the ground in the area in the box from a corner, Ashley Young’s challenge studs up was a straight red and Lukaku is about two yards offside when he scored. United were the better side but had we got the decisions and playing 9 by the end - who knows.

Yep, Young’s challenge was as red as I’ve seen, but we’re at Old Trafford so it won’t happen that along with the Ake wrestling was almost comical. Bring on VAR is all I can say. Bournemouth are going through a bit of a sticky patch after such a good start.

It's been a tough run of fixtures, and their form does often seem to go up and down. It is a shame that there haven't been any points at all from the top clubs though, which isn't great.

True but with the size of the squad and injuries stacking up I’m happy to take the cheap points from those below us to ensure survival. Interested to see what happens in the window.

Not sure how Eric Bailly got away with that foot on the shoulder too.

In all fairness though United were in control as soon as Pogba guided in The brilliant wing trickery play from Rashford.

Yes, I’d forgotten about that one. How exactly do you kick someone at shoulder height in the penalty box and not get a penalty, anywhere else on the field that would have been a foul, at the very least a yellow and quite possibly another red.

£19M is a staggering amount of money for a player who hasn't even played one game this season.

At least he gets to move to a nice part of the country.

Fingers crossed he does ok for you.

Nathaniel Clyne in on loan too, until the end of the season. Defence badly needs bolstering, they started off the season really well but have got back to letting in really amateur goals again recently.

Anyone seen the Minus 17 documentary into the 08/09 season out on YouTube yet?

Quite a nice bit of history into the background of the club and the beginning of the Eddie Howe reign, which I must admit I didn't know a lot about

1 point above relegation, that happened quickly.

Injuries mounting too. Reality check time - it is going to be a tough season.

Yep no doubt it'll a slog to the end of the season, but it is all very close between a lot of teams at the moment but losing 5 in a row is a bit of a shocker

If we can take any positives it is not necessarily the case that the cherries have played badly in a lot of the games where they've dropped points so, injuries aside, there is hope. smile

Getting worse and worse unfortunately.

The next few games are going to be massive, real 6-pointers. Unfortunately that included todays which didn't go well at all.

Really hope they can string a few results together, but i've been worried for a couple of seasons they'd end up having a bad run which they just won't be able to recover from.

Yep, they’re in a real mess at the moment, so many injuries seem to have badly disrupted the team. I was hoping we’d get something today against a woeful hammers team but that didn’t go to plan. They just seem devoid of any ideas which is strange as B’mth have always been strong going forward, take that away and it’s going to be a big problem. I seriously hope they back Eddie this transfer window and bring in some new energy but one things for sure, they’re in deep doo doo.

They always seem to swing between great runs of form and really bad runs. The problem now is that the league is tougher than last season - much more even. Those that were doing badly have improved with new managers etc, so with the current form and injury problems I'm worried.

FFS, certainly now after two 6 pointers lost. Eddie Howe IS AFCB and has a lot of credit at the club, but I wonder if they will start to think they need a change before it is too late...

I fear it’s too late already. I don’t think sacking Eddie will make the slightest difference, they’ve stopped scoring which was always kept them up, the defence has always been third rate but they scored enough to offset it previously. frown
