I still have my suspicions that for whatever reason AW is not getting the best out of the players that he has at his disposal.
Only a suspicion laugh

I've thought that for the last 5-6 years at least.......... laugh

I just don't think he's changed with the times to suit the changing game in the 20 years he's been at the helm, which is why we've gradually gone backwards relative to others, and I suspect he doesn't take too kindly to any other members of staff telling him he's wrong if they attempt to highlight issues on the training ground etc?

You know what i mean!
Going back a few years I could never understand how the likes of Edu didn't get more game time even allowing for Messrs Petit and Vieira as he was a proper talent. Oh to have an Edu on the bench now.

Totally agree. He hasn't changed and has been found out for the last 10 years. I cannot remember the last time we genuinely competed for the title. It's like being back in the days of Terry Neil and Don Howe without the North Bank to bounce about on.

Edu had knee problems didn't he? That's what finished him with us.

Who cares as long as Kroenke and Arsene are raking it in that's all that matters!

Arsene has systematically ruined his own reputation, ably assisted by Kroenke and Gazidis. They have taken the opportunity that the new stadium gave us and royally fked it up on a monumental scale to the stage where we are now, in that our top players won't sign new contracts with us and we can't recruit anyone half decent as we are virtually a laughing stock with the weakness and lack of character shown by the entire team including the management and board.
It'll be interesting to see how the Ox gets on at Lpool and Theo assuming he moves on too as they are very much AW era players. I still have my suspicions that for whatever reason AW is not getting the best out of the players that he has at his disposal. Not sure if you have followed Szzzzzzzcezzzzzzzzny at Uve but he is being hailed as the natural successor to Buffon and has turned in some great performances this season. Where was that at Arsenal? Like Theo and the Ox there were flashes of a player in there but the finished article looked a long way off.

As for Kroenke and Gazidis..............there is nothing to add that hasn't already been said about the board on this forum. furious
Without a doubt AW has lost the knack of improving players....yes he still has the ability to bring young players throgh. Bellierin, Iwobi, AMN etc But these players then seem to stall....they hit a bad patch and some never seem to recover. Or look at The Ox or Theo....both have potential but both just hit a fking massive brick wall.

Accurate observation indeed.
And I for one wish the Ox future success, as I do Theo should he leave.
Plenty of players in the past too who saw a future elsewhere....including (believe it or not) Nasri

Another thing, I know we are desperate for defenders, but I think we are desperate for a keeper.
Again I think we aren't forward thinking enough.
Cech isn't the future, and we aren't the only ones in need.....which means we will be outgunned for any available prospects.
A keeper is the putter in your golf bag, and you need to invest in a good one..... quite why they go for so little money astounds me.

There aren't many ex Arsenal players I wish bad on, but there are exceptions. Nasri is one thought, the levels of ery that he showed after leaving put him in the same league as Adebayor. punch

Let's hope today goes a bit better than last year, as we know Bournemouth (my local team) can cause anyone problems on their day and 3-0 down last year was poor. Couldn't get tickets for the Cherries game so sat at home with a pizza and a beer later watching on Sky. coffee

Chatter that now that both Sanchez and Ozil could join United, with Mkhitaryan + cash to Emirates.

North London would surely implode if that happened? Its RVP all over again x2.

Good news that's Wilshere's knock in the week looks not to have been serious and he starts, no Sanchez or Ozil in the squad and Ramsey back on the bench which is a positive, I know he's not everyone's favourite but I think we've missed his effort levels in a few games this year since his injury.

Another shocker, I'm afraid Monsieur Wengers time is up, he needs to be removed. I've not seen such a weak and deflated display from us that I can remember in recent history.

Glad for B'mth as they really needed the points.

If no one turned up to watch them the penny might finally drop. A cruel way to do it but something needs to be done pronto.

His time was up at least 5years ago! I'm afraid he will still be here next season because A) He is scared to retire. B) He always see's out his contract. C) Who is going to sack him...?

Top 4 finish was never on this season from day 1............only the eternally deaf, dumb and blind fan would have thought it a possibility.
