Quite. Almost the opposite of Liverpool. Our fans have propelled our team on to win games we've had no right to win.

Stick Arsenal in that final in Istanbul and the stadium would have been emptying to the sounds of boos and Wenger Out chants at half time.
They wouldn't have waited that long, their blind hatred of their greatest ever manager over rules everything, they even boo'd him whilst winning the NLD, its beyond belief
i didnt know herbert chapman was still alive.

brian clough was forests greatest manager he got them relgated as wouldnt leave when he was past it and the club were to respectful to put save themselves.

As soon as Theo saw how well equipped the physio room is at Goodison Park he knew it was the right move to sign for Everton.

don't jinx it, i wont believe this waster has left until i see him holding up an everton shirt. 140k a week for someone who is no better than when he was 16. it shows that just because you are an exceptional athlete you don't necessarily make a good footballer, how crazy AW is for paying him so much and keeping him so long, and how poor AW has been at developing players. further evidenced by ox choosing a pay cut to leave.

it does indicate that hopefully, Sven and Raul are starting to have some influence, in clearing out the dross at last, especially if giroud goes and we get aubyamang (i don't believe it and even if we do AW will try to trun him inot a left winger...) now any one want ramsey on a free??

Don't see the negativity towards Giroud, he's been pretty efficient this season especially with the lack of starts. I'd rather we kept hold of him. If anyone needs to go it's Welbeck.

Agree 100%.

Different to the other options and has been a pretty reliable source of goals from the bench. Him leaving (if he does) will more be down to him- it's World Cup year and pretty sure he's still considered first choice striker for France, but that won't continue whilst he's playing the role of super-sub at club level. He needs regular starts now and he's just not going to get that at Arsenal.

Yeah, Giroud is a great plan B

I don't think we make enough use of him as a plan a in games where teams sit back and defend. We have no one else capable of bullying defenders or heading a cross (nor taking a corner from recent evidence). To lose him as well as Alexis would be madness

The FA cup, its ridiculous to suggest that no one has cared about it for the last 17 years, completely ridiculous. No proper football fan would say that.

ok fair enough on giroud, he is a decent impact sub, and useful change of plan, but i maintain you couldn't seriously challenge for a title with him as the main man as he was for years.

plus we need to remember he is also on well north of 100k a week which is astonishing given how little he is used. I would still rather have Aubyamang and Lacazette than him if its a straight choice, even if OG is ahead in the French pecking order than AL. all 3 would be together would be nice.

i think he would be very useful if we played 2 up front, but with AW we will never do that.

the decline of lackofthreat as some wags have started using is another issue with the system. I think hes a decent striker but his time in Lyon was spent running onto through balls and scoring. i havent seen him score one goal like that for us (actually not a surprise as i dont bother to watch us anymore as its groundhog day). Those who do still go concur, we are playing him as the focal point in pur silly formation and asking him to hold it up. hes simply not that sort of srtiker.

im not a proper fan then...

the big clubs have been fielding weakened team in it ever since. its willful blindness to claim they haven't. even those who haven't won a pot in years like totnum don't go all out for it.

The traditionalists and BBC maintain the magic of the FA cup but since the premier league ate itself and money became the be all and end all the cup has been dying ever since.

Its not even the big clubs, premier league survival and championship promotion are given priority of it too look at the teams put out in recent seasons when a league game is shortly before or after. Most championship managers see it as an inconvenience. Ask Mick McCarthy. A cup run will still generate worthwhile cash for a non league or league 2 club but its simply not what it was for the rest.

the romance of the cup is dying, thats modern football for you.

Obviously not.

Clubs dont put out full teams in the early rounds but thats different to saying that nobody cares about the FA Cup, thats just nonsense, ask Managers like Mourinho, or players like Rooney, John Terry and Frank Lampard, or the Liverpool, city and wigan fans etc etc
