You Arsenal fans are a fickle bunch. Do you not support your team through the bad times as well as the good? Hate to say it but the Spuds supporters put you to shame.

I'm going to tomorrow night to the Red Star Belgrade game.....still watch every game I can. Doesn't mean I am not pissed off at the current malaise.

To be clear, I was replying to post above mine - primarily.

Support the team, not the regime is where the majority of Arsenal fans lie.

Spuds are used to underperforming, we Arsenal fans expect/demand better.

You’ve barely won anything more than them for 10+ years. Your sense of entitlement would shame a scouser. hehe

Just seeing how well the English teams are doing this season in the CL is an indication of how Arse FC have been holding back our influence in Europe.
AW only ever looked at getting past group phase and extra £££'S for him and his t*sspots. W*nker
I don't think you can make that point until a few English teams have made it through the group stages and into the finals.

Besides which, however Arsenal did had no bearing on how the rest of the English teams did. In fact I seem to remember Arsenal frequently being the last English team in the competition.
The point I was trying to get over, albeit poorly is Arsenal for years have taken a valuable position in the competition from another PL team who actually have some ambition to win it.
Time to move over and make way for others who don't just use the CL as a cash cow.

A genuine congrats, that's a great result, but hardly representative of the last X number of seasons.

Indeed, and as much as its pains to say, it was a terrific result for them.

I wonder though how long it will be before Real or Barca make Poch an offer he won't be able to refuse.......

Personally I don’t see Poch moving to either of those no matter how much cash they offer.

Barca because he’s Espanyol through and through and Madrid because you can’t ‘build’ anything there only buy it. Add to that if Ronaldo or a few other galacticos don’t like you then...

So, you’ll get, on average, 2 years (maybe 3 if you win the ECL a couple of times) and then you are dismissed. It’s a poisoned chalice and I think he knows that.

The same applies at Chelsea and Man City and to a lesser extent United. That only leaves 2 clubs where he’ll be indulged, both in North London, and he’s already at one of them.

Liverpool isn’t even a sideways step at this time and they have Klopp anyway who appears to be very similar to Poch in ‘philosophy’ and personal charm.

At Spuds he appears to have found the almost perfect position for him. He’ll get the time he needs (good knows they’ve waited long enough, a few more years won’t matter) and if they start winning silverware he can build his CV slowly but surely. As I say, I think he’ll be there for a long time.

I’d actually worry more that they are becomming very attractive to top players around the world after matches like last nights and that will increase the competition for the rest of us when looking for fresh talent. 2 years ago I’d have said we were favourites to get Bale should he leave Madrid, now I think its 50/50 that he would return to Spurs.

Depends on trophies in next two seasons, how ambitious Poch is and how much get he gets backed I suspect. Levy drives a hard bargain but with their current wage structure they'll do well to keep that team together....I know there are a lot of players on long contracts but their top players are probably earning 50% of what they could elsewhere. If Levy opens the coffers and retains the quad and adds a few players why wouldn't Poch stay. Whether that happens or not is another issue.

On an Arsenal front having gone to last night's game I enjoyed watching the kids and Wilshere....some of the other senior squad players didn't do themselves favours. Macey and Willock both did well first half and the other kids grew into the game Wilshere was the only player on the pitch who showed any moments of genuine class with the ball at his feet.

Coquelin is woeful if he need to pass the ball more than 10 yards, Walcott only look dangerous if an opportunity is created by the team (he's just a non-event unless surrounded by top class players), Giroud is similar in that vane to Walcott but has a much better touch, Elneny and Holding both did okay at the back though.

It must be hard for Arsenal fans to watch Tottenham matching giants like Real, while they slum it against minnows like Red Star. Tottenham is fast becoming London's top team.
Red Star are not minnows, they won the European Cup in the 90s and back when Yugoslavia existed they were a team no one wanted to draw.
Their game against FK Partizan is mental, my brother and I managed to bag tickets for a game in 2015 through his girlfriends family who are locals.......Fighting, stadium seats being ripped up, flares, smoke, dozens of police injured, the start of the game was delayed and so was the second half so that the smoke from the fireworks and flares had a chance to clear, you name it - the crowd, some of which was evicted from the stands by the riot police during the game, was essentially a riot from start to finish

The game finished 0-0 hehe
I think they call it "The Derby Of Eternal Hatred" so I guess the clue is in the name. hehe

They won the European Cup in 1991. That's like saying Leeds are good because they won the EPL in 1992....
He said minnows, not good, devil is in the detail my friend.
Indeed it is. And the detail is that RSB have spent €4.5m on players in the last 4 years, whereas Arsenal have spent €310m over the same period. They're ranked 195 in Europe (6 places below FK Aktobe). Whereas Arsenal are 11th. They haven't played in the CL since they won it and haven't played in Europe for 10 years until now. So in relation to Arsenal, they most certainly are minnows.
Give it up man. Bournemouth would be higher rated than Leeds or Villa, who cares.

Everyone who knows anything about football (that possibly excludes all Spurs fans) knows RSB are a huge club, with a great history, and are not minnows. Regardless of what tough times they've fallen upon.

This morning's quotes from Pochettino would appear to back up your statement.

"I'm at the best club in the world"

"Unbelievable relationship with Levy"

"Wouldn't swap Tottenham for any other club in the world"
