Another spineless and tactically inept display. Slightly better in the second half, but City could pretty much score whenever they felt like it and only City's poor finishing meant this didn't end up a whole lot worse than it actually did. Our midfield is totally disfunctional. Xhaka needs dropping immediately, he's a liability, him and Ramsey don't work together. End of. The rest, just so pathetic and weak it beggars belief.

I didn't think it was too spineless, in fact I thought you did well to get back into the game at 1-2.

Agree with a women Man City fan who came on Radio 5 she said "very soft penalty for us and our third was offside but why does Wenger moan every week rather than say Arsenal were second best?"
He must know in his heart of hearts that Arsenal are not good enough to compete at the top level with the players he has and what was the point on holding on to Sanchez, he couldn't care less about Arsenal anymore.

It wasn't at all. While we were far from great today it was a bloody soft penalty and a quite clear offside. Certainly more so than Lacazette's disallowed goal a couple months back.

Sanchez looks like he’s given up on Arsenal. His head is elsewhere. Ozil was pish too.

Third goal was offside but 2nd goal was a definite penalty. Not sure how anyone can think otherwise.

Gotta love Wenger.."Man City will run away with the league if they continue to get decisions go their way." Errr, the fact that they are better than everyone else clearly isn't anything to do with it then????

Very very occasionally I think he gets a rough ride, then he comes out with garbage like that - why not just say they were the better team? Everyone including your own fans know it. You just insult peoples intelligence and sound like a knobber

He's a bad loser, as well as delusional.

Looks pretty foolish hanging onto Sanchez over the summer. He's been useless since and it's not exactly like City have needed him to be where they are. Should have taken the money old fool.

I'm not sure who's worse: those who believe in Santa, or those who still believe in Wenger.

A shoulder barge is a definite penalty? Even a spurs fan in my local pub said it never was!

it was certainly a soft one - for me the defender muscled him out, looked worse becasue Sterling is a short arse with T-rex arms

Referees are inconsistent.

Players do not respect referees or their assistants.

The game lacks discipline.

It is corrupt in every sense of the word.

Arsenal are doomed.

Just listening to R5L; Lee Dixon and Ian Wright talking about 2-0 vs LFC in '89. Halcyon days.

How the hell do I know all the players from 2005 back but would struggle to name 5 of the current team??!! Guess I've lost the passion for AFC frown

If it had been a shoulder barge it wouldn't have been a pen, unfortunately for the defender he managed to get his leg tangled with Sterling's which in my oplinion is why it was given.

I know what you mean about naming players, I can name the 71 double side but not many of the current team, saying that I can't remember what I had for breakfast either!

Agreed. Plus the laws around shoulder barges are not known by most fans. It applied when two players are going for the ball and come together shoulder to shoulder. But you cannot barge someone with your shoulder just to stop them getting the ball, if you yourself are not making any attempt to play it. Imho, the Arsenal player made no attempt to win the ball, just to barge Stirling. If I was reffing, I would have called that a foul, but as said, even if the ref thinks the barge is fair, the defender tangling legs with Stirling is deffo a foul.

At 2-1 we were back in with a chance having but City worthy winners...off side goal or not and penalty or not.

Sanchez was garbage....his pass from that corner for the City break that nearly ended in a goal looked like a training ground move!
