I like the cut of Emery's jib.
Gazidis however is an arrogant and condescending piece of arse, have never liked the guy since he was appointed and is nothing but Stans puppet.
I disagree that he's Kronke's puppet. I think he's wanted change for a while, but Wenger and Kronke were thick as thieves. He's done quite a good job of making massive changes at the club without rocking the boat as far as I can see it. This article is actually quite good I think:Gazidis however is an arrogant and condescending piece of arse, have never liked the guy since he was appointed and is nothing but Stans puppet.

Who knows about the injury/fitness issues we've had, it could be bad luck, I doubt we were ever doing much different from other clubs.
Thats always been a wonder, many injuries in training. Something at the training camp, condition of the ground or something, or just techniques used that overstretch?Byker28i said:

Seems like the only coach?backroom staff of any note who will be left if Bould (if he wants to hand around) and Jens Lehman is apparently getting the Goalkeeping Coach job.
Gazidis and his new team have pretty much taken out anyone with any allegiance to Wenger.
Also seen press stories saying Pires might be coming in as a coach and Ornstein reported that Freddie Ljunberg is coming in to manage U23's.
One thing is for sure no one is sure of their job.
Will be fascinating to see who cops it on the playing side because someone will...Emery will want to make a statement to the squad. I think we can assume that Cech, Bellerin, Elneny and Xhaka are not on the list given they all have new squad numbers. A lot of people want a new keeper which I don't disagree with but I think we've got much bigger issues elsewhere.
Pires would make sense as he’s a Spanish speaker, his mums Spanish, so would help Emery with any initial language problems. I think there should be at least one other of the invincibles (as well as Lehman) involved with training on a day to day basis to instil some mettle into the bunch of spineless fannies that currently pull on an Arsenal shirt.
Some sensible signings seem to be in the offing. All defensive, all experienced, all steady and reliable.
OK, nothing to get excited about, but he looks to be making major moves to steady the ship, and address our biggest weakness. Something Wenger failed to do for season after season.

Very quiet in here. With all the new manager excitement I thought there would be more going on Club wise.
Guessing it'll take a while till the back room staff are all cleared out and replaced. Signings will hopefully follow once Emery has had a chance to set expectation and requirements with the IRS. That being Ivan, Sven and Rahul. cbmotorsport said:

Yep, all the rumours point to getting some players in that will improve the defense straight away, a good move. OK, nothing to get excited about, but he looks to be making major moves to steady the ship, and address our biggest weakness. Something Wenger failed to do for season after season.
I thing there's a lot of cautious optimism more than outright excitement. Beginning of the season is a while away after all.

There's only so much speculation over the 'style' and 'attitude' Emery will adopt at the Arse I can stomach from journalists desperate for clicks, never mind the usual bks over transfers and contract renewals. I'm excited for next year, but I can't be bothered with all the nonsense associated with the off-season. I'll check back in following the world cup. Wenger early favourite to replace Zidane at Madrid
I'm not sure he'd cope with the pressure would he? Although I often think a team like that can manage itself on the pitch, it's more about motivation and man management than anything. Something Wenger struggled with latterly at Arsenal.
Pocchettino also in the running apparently.

It makes a lot more sense than Klopp or Poch to me, which the papers are promoting.
They are both employed, building teams with power to select new players.
Bumper pay day for AW and good chance of winning something with a talented team already there that need a bit of new young blood, he will probably stick Ramos up as a no. 10

Anyone else watch the Spain v Switzerland game on Sky last night? Thought Lichtsteiner looked pretty decent for 34, probably the Swiss’ best player and made their goal too. I’d be happy to see him come in if even just for a year or two. Energy wise he belies his age well and held his own against David Silva and Diego Costa.
