Not a fan then GM? hehe
Definitely not, GM.... hehe

I just don't get the bloke. I know that earning pots of money does not equal happiness but for 300 bags a week, he always looks so miserable on the pitch. I'd be ecstatic to earn 300 quid a week as a footballer, and I'd make sure I gave everything 100% for that money. He spends half the game wandering around like a disinterested tramp looking for old dog ends and the other half playing tippy tappy ten yard passs that get everyone raving about how he is world class.

Not for me, I'm afraid. I'd rather sell him and get three "lesser" players in at 100 bags a week to bolster my squad.

If he was still of top class Real Madrid would've kept him, but along comes Wenger, buys him and ends up giving him 300k a week for a player that performs about twice in a season.

£300k a week is the wrong number but when you see the bloke live you can see he’s a class above with his touch, ability and passing...I’ve seen him put other players on their arses just controlling the ball.

Whether his attributes are right for the way Emery and the other top managers want their teams to play is another matter.

Going to be a very interesting nine months at Arsenal. Be interesting to see who gets jettisoned though Ozil is going nowhere or if he does it’ll be a tiny fee for a club to take on that weekly wage.

It'll be interesting to see what sort of team Emery fields in the Europa League but right now given that is our level then i suspect it will be a strong one.

We never really travel well to far flung corners of Eastern Europe though....

Who's looking forward to the big North London top of the table clash on Sunday?

A win but another display of comedy defending and senseless attempts at playing out from the back, nearly giving goals away, when row Z or hoofing it was a better idea.

Eventually saved from embarrassment by the front players, along with stupid possession stats, think I saw 90% at one point, but that doesn’t win games. Really don’t see Emery making much headway to sorting the defensive game out, infact I think we look worse than we did under Wenger at times.

Me and the lads went to the game today. The team can just give up with the playing out from the back lark, it just doesn't work and is too easy for the opposition with the players we have! My heart rate has pretty much just returned to normal!

Xhaka is shocking, fk knows how he still gets to start every game when he is so costly in possession! He took a load if stick from our fans today!

Great to see both our strikers score, and Torreira looks class every time he comes on.

Good show, Goons we’re making plenty of noise on the tv coverage, infact more than the home support a lot of the time. I’m surprised Lichtsteiner isn’t getting a game, unless they’re saving him for Europe. And yes, Xhaka is shocking, how he’s getting picked ahead of Torreira god knows, and Sokratis isn’t exactly covering himself in glory either, not sure which is worse between him and Mustafi.

Chuffed both strikers bagged very well taken goals.

Does anyone else feel Aubameyangs goal was almost TH like in style? Sublime.

Defense certainly needs sorted or this is going to be a very long and nail biting season.

I appreciate we need to give Emery time, but I thought that we'd see him concentrating on sorting out our defense, it was afterall our biggest weakness in Wengers last 10 years.

I wonder if completely trying to change the way we play before he's sorted out the basics is a great plan. Too much too soon?

Yes, but...

Not saying this is the answer but Koscielny, Kolasinac and Mavropanos haven't been the squad. Only Holding on the bench. We're currently snookered for choice.

Cech worries me. He's a good keeper but is a bit lacking in passing skills. Then he has to pick a pass in a short amount of time and sees his options all marked.

It's not helped that his defence doesn't seem to like being under pressure on the ball either and they're being marked. So it's surprising to see the errors repeatedly happen rather than being worked on.

You don't see Ederson playing out to his defence if they're marked. He'll just pass the ball over them to a players feet up field. The key thing is he can be flexible and has a midfielders passing ability. Cech doesn't have either.

Lots of work to go and I don't think Cardiff would have been in the game if Wenger was there.

But still optimistic long term.
