Celtic are just at a low ebb at present. You have to expect they’ll find their groove sooner or later. It’s quite telling that Rangers are on their worst league start since the 80s and they’re still ahead of them.

With Rangers and Celtic in Europe on Thursday previous, and a full premiership card midweek following, the SPFL now have to hold two semi finals on the same Sunday.

Well it’ll be interesting to see what Murrayfield say when asked to assist hehe

Why not go 'old school' and play the Aberdeen Tie at Dens park?

There's lies, damned lies & statistics wink

A whole point and 7 goals of a difference after 6 games (after Celtic's worst start since 1998)

The league is a marathon not a sprint (however I did state in August it won't be a procession)

Looking forward to an exciting season

Celtic the best side and squad in the SPL, with plenty of cash to strengthen in the window. They would still be my idea of Champions come the end of the season, despite making a poor start. In contrast, Hearts have started well, and Hibs playing some lovely football but neither have the depth of squad to go the distance.

Aberdeen stuttering start, Rangers mixed (but improving) but can't see either throwing down a genuine challenge.

Celtic
Aberdeen
Rangers
Hearts

I’m not seeing much to suggest Aberdeen will be in the top 6 this season, let alone finish ahead of Rangers.

Agree about the squad depth of the Edinburgh teams, but they won’t have Europe to contend with, so it’s a fairly standard season for them and they could be fine with 15 or so players. Hearts are already missing their captain and best player in Berra, and main striker from last season Lafferty, and are looking very strong nonetheless.

Lennon looks to have done well to rebuild this season after losing influential midfielders. It was unbelievable they weren’t able to put the ball in the back of the net against Aberdeen last night.

Rangers/Celtic
Hearts
Hibs
Killie
The rest

I love the thought that 1 defeat this season is a “mixed” start hehe Celtic are certainly lucky that Motherwell and Aberdeen were able to grab last minute equalisers or the table would look very different. Marathon indeed though. The best time to have a terrible run of form is early doors I suppose.

I think the final table will be Celtic, Rangers, Hearts in that order.

Aberdeen will do well to come 4th this season.

The next transfer window could have a big influence on how things pan out, especially if Celtic have to spend to their way back into form.

Maybe I’m being unfair on Aberdeen, after having a look at it. Results wise they’ve not done much wrong despite playing poorly on the face of it. Sign of a good team and that.

SSN reporting both semi finals at Hampden: Gers at noon, Celtic at 7.45. Good luck to the Jambos trying to get a train home after extra time and penalties...

Good luck to Aberdeen trying to get there. First train leaves at 12:14 laugh

And some people want us to be independent? When we can't organise a couple of games of football properly?

Hey enough of the indy nonsense this is fitba’ chat...

Hearts 7.45 KO
Normal time takes you to 9.30
Extra time to 10.10
Penalties 10.30
Last train on a Sunday is, what, 11?

Hopefully the transport implications have been considered all round. Even for the club 40 miles from home.

Try as I might I'm really struggling to give much of a fk about how some opposition supporters get to or from a game.

The buses are 24 hours anyway are they not?

Do you work for the SPFL/SFA?

It would have been a god send if Hampden wasn't chosen to be the national stadium. Rid of the dinosaur stadium from the nonsense.

Buses running all night between Aberdeen and Glasgow,,,, Don't go into the bus business mate, Anne Gloag you're not!

This is an absolute nonsense and shows why the SPFL are utterley incompetent.

First train from Aberdeen arrives at Queen Street Station at 12.14 so train isn't an option for fans of the sheep.

For reasons posted above, no jambo kids / families will be at the game. Train isn't an option. You're usually 2 hours'ish between Hampden and the M8 after a big game.

Also, Hearts and Aberdeen should both get 50% of the tickets regardless of whether they'll be sold or not. Yes that's controversial but it's absoutely the right thing to do.

People also forget Rangers and Celtic have loads of fans (more?) from outside Glasgow but I personally have ny sympathy for them.

Should always have been Murrayfield chosen. For lots of reasons. Have the national stadium in the capital city.

IMO:

Bigger stadium
Better stadium
Doesnt require multi million redevelopment
Better transport links (local, national and international)
