SPFL LATEST
BREAKING

@spfl
confirm they've asked clubs to consider moving to a 14-10-10-10 structure permanently from next season

Clubs have until Monday to indicate their preference - an EGM and formal vote will be held if there is sufficient support

Now, if I were a cynical man I might suspect that the 'donation' recently received from a Hearts fan did have some conditions attached after all...

I've taken a break from the spfl circus this last month or so.

I tuned back in today and they are still argueing about the same things. Partick and Hearts not happy. Another vote for league reconstruction and clubs already indicating they will vote no.

Hearts, Partick Thistle and Stranraer have had their relegations confirmed after only 16 of the 42 SPFL clubs indicated that they would vote in favour of league reconstruction.

Let us not speak of this again.

With Hearts out of the way that’s worth +5 league points and one further round of cup football for Rangers hehe

Oh hang on.... Hearts confirm they have taken the necessary steps to begin a legal challenge after SPFL clubs voted against reconstruction.

Is Scotland the only league in the world where the covid relegated clubs have spat the dummy?

France.

Then in Holland the teams that didn't get promoted were threatening legal action.

So Hearts are just going to keep saying they won't accept this?
I suppose their stance conveniently deflects from their team only winning 4 games out of 30.

I guess Hearts think they'll get financial compensation in any court case victory?
Wheres that money coming from? The SPFL? Which means the money coming out the pockets of the other 41 clubs.

Could then say a Hamilton Accies launch a counter legal argument that Hearts are in breach of the SPFL processes?

I was hoping with the championship teams announcing plans for a shortened fixture list starting in October that we might be getting over this, but it seems not.

Is that the end of Hearts and Thistle's chances of stopping relegation? Not the decision they wanted today. Hopefully it's finalised soon enough.

The Rangers kit scenario has turned into another farce. It does look rather suspicious that Rangers new premium kit maker has signed an exclusive deal with Sports Direct after everything that has gone before.

spl fixtures been released, good to see they have moved all spl fixtures to friday night games to give the national team as much time as possible before the play-off/ next round of internationals.

Complaints of corruption based of the fixture schedule.

It's going to be a long season.

According to Gerrard, the The Rangers are a class above Aberdeen, so i dont see what the issue with having to play them first is.

I think / hope that Jonny Hayes brings back to Aberdeen something that’s been lacking the last couple of seasons: aggression, desire, runs, creativity and decent shooting.

Rangers will once again be tortured with multiple, bonafide massive money bids for Morelos. Maybe they’ll finally relent and cash him in for £40M+ and stave of their finance woes for a few seasons i.e. autumn&winter or spring&summer hehe

I see all that nonsense on twitter and have to say i have almost zero interest in scottish football (well all football really), except the national team.

The replies underneath this tweet are quite interesting:

https://mobile.twitter.com/RangersFC/status/128384...

Is there a scummier fan base than Rangers in the UK?

Must be between them, Chelsea and Millwall anyway.

In fairness, plenty of Rangers fans on Twitter have voiced their displeasure at their less open minded fellow fans.

There are also some very supportive tweets, should we ignore them? Im saying that as a Celtic supporter by the way.
