I'm a scottish football fan but it's becoming really difficult to stay committed over the last 10 years or so.
I don't follow a club side, I support the national team but I do take in a few club games each season.
Obviously the performance of the national team during the last ten years has been poor. The last major high was the euro 2008 qualifiers where we nearly made it, and in a group containing France and Italy.
However the whole Rangers saga just makes me think 'why bother?'
The SFA and the SPL/SPFL who you expect to be authoritative guardian of our game has been found sadly lacking.
Remember this is the ruling body who tried to allow the newco Rangers straight back into the SPL. Just carry on as if nothing happened.
The media as well. Aside Alex Thomson from channel 4 none of the big media outlets ask any questions. The smaller reporters in the media who do, get bullied and threatened.
And again after todays events the SFA will just try the 'nothing to see here' act.

Rangers are a big draw and bring a lot of money to Scottish football. That's the only reason the SFA are st scared to do anything. They sell papers, attract people to the TV and pay people's wages. The SFA needs Rangers to fund them.I don't follow a club side, I support the national team but I do take in a few club games each season.

If it was a lesser team, and Scottish football wasn't so dependant on the draw of Celtic and Rangers, this entire debacle would never have happened. The club wouldn't be in the league under any disguse we wouldn't be debating what liquidation actually means.
They most certainly wouldn't be trying to force other clubs to allow access right back into the top division. There wouldn't be any issues removing previous achievements gained through cheating. They are total ste bags.
The credibility of Scottish football was already rock bottom. It just sinks through the floor when they still don't want to deal with the obvious. The SFA are unfit for purpose and won't get through this lightly. Hopefully Scottish teams make a stand on this matter.
The SFA have already said they won't take any further action. The SPFL on the other hand say they will take time to think about it whatever that means.

Great result for Aberdeen tonight.
Important result for all of Scottish football. We really need to build the coefficient back up, get two clubs in the Champions League, get our champions directly into the group stages, avoid Europa football starting in early July when our teams are cold, and to give the national side a better chance of reaching a tournament final. The Scottish Professional Football League says it cannot impose fresh sanctions on Rangers over the club's use of a controversial tax scheme.
But its board has called for an independent review "into Scottish football's actions and processes".
It had taken legal advice after the Supreme Court ruled this month against the club over its use of employee benefit trusts from 2001 to 2010.

Just to say, Come on ye Pars.
That is all.
Great start to the season. That is all.
Aberdeen now top of the Premier League. I'm sure that Gary Mackay Steven is still the top talking point about Aberdeen FC just now.
St Johnstone look strong. Not sure they will have quite enough to challenge Aberdeen for 2nd over the whole season.
